Cáelán's ability to control a person's mind is limited, he has a metal implant embedded into his left thigh; not large enough to kill him, but it leaves him extremely weak. He cannot fully control an individual, more or less persuade them as of right now, and after he's gone the person is left with only a shadow of the person who had control over them. Cáelán was cursed by a specific coven of witches (who place the metal inside him) and only a descendant from their line can remove the implant. They also made sure that if an individual knows Cáelán's name he cannot use mind control on them, so he keeps his name very private, most people refer to him as Mr. Boog.
