Henry is a complicated individual. In order to truly understand him, one must first understand his history. In short, his life has been filled with loves lost. He has loved many great people and lost each and every one of them. His most recent was probably the one man he would truly give his life for. And yet...here his is once again, finding himself alone and afraid. Like anyone who has experienced such troubled loss, Henry has a tendency to drink his pain away or try to mask it with the use of drugs and sex. It's all a coping mechanism. Deep down, Henry is a romantic young boy who only wants to love and be loved. He misses his soul mate and the pain it's caused as left him feeling alone and vulnerable.
