Nick was born in Michigan but grew up in Toronto with both his parents and his younger brother Kyle. His father was American and an abusive drunk and spared no one in the house. His mother was Canadian. When Nick was 8 years old, he began rebelling; shoplifting and stealing. It escalated as he got older to stealing cars and other miscreant behavior. Though, most of his crimes were to take care of his family; stealing groceries because they had no money or stealing a car so his mother could take his younger brother to the doctor. <BR><BR> When Nick was 16 and Kyle was 15, their father went on a bender and came home to beat on their mother. Nick stood up to him and they brawled. Kyle ran away and was found murdered a few days later. His mother was devastated and fell in to a depression. Nick cared for her while going to school. The worse his mother got, the more his behavior towards his father escalated and the more physical their fights became. The day Nick turned 17, his father had his mother committed to an institution after she attempted suicide. Nick forged his mother's signature and enlisted in the army the same day and began using his middle name instead of Logan, the name he shared with his father. He has not seen or spoken to either of his parents since. <BR><BR> Nick became a career officer, raising to the rank of Colonel in the Special Forces - Green Berets before he was recruited to Delta Force where he led a team successfully on multiple highly classified black ops missions. During a mission in an undisclosed location, Nick was attacked and severally injured. He began changing a few months later. Nick began to notice that his skills in combat seemed enhanced, like he couldn't miss or lose no matter who he went up against. He became more agile, his reflexes, speed and strength were greatly improved. He could perform advanced combat techniques and master them almost immediately after only a few tries to learn them. He become more proficient in his weapons training. The more training he received, the more he improved; surpassing the skills of his squad. But then the hunger came, as insatiable bloodlust. Nick began taking more and more dangerous missions. The greater danger, the more successful the mission was. His superiors noticed and the tests began. <BR><BR> His condition was completely unknown to doctors which couldn't understand what was happening to him. Something happened that Nick refuses to talk about, afterward he disappeared. No one knows if he was discharged or if he went AWOL. He settled in the first major city he came across until he can get a grasp on what is happening to him.
