East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

East
i hear the footsteps inside of me
It is the feather light touch on his hands that draws his own steely gaze down to watch Dorian's hand trace easily across his own. Malek is drawn into his touch and is slightly disappointed when he removes his hand and when he lifts his eyes he watches the faerie bring his hand towards his face and tuck a strand of his hair behind his ear. Grinning lazily, he would have had goose bumps rise to his arm if he were not dead already, Mal had found that certain human traits did not follow into this eternal afterlife. Listening to Dorian roll words of his tongue in such a seductive way clears his mind momentarily. He is shocked to being drawn into someone rather than him drawing someone to him, it is then that Malek grins so widely, his fangs flashing and all. Perhaps it was because Dorian was the closest super natural to his age that he had found in a long time, then again it could be that the vampire simply liked this man.

"Perhaps," he purrs the word and leaves his hand on the faerie's thigh tracing light circles across his leg with ease. Catching the bartender watching them from the other end of the bar he reluctantly retracts his gaze from the faerie to flash a rather deadly look in the direction of the man that sent him to cleaning to bar with renewed vigor. Satisfied he returns his steely eyes back to Dorian, again that lazy grin flitting across his features. It is the faerie's next words that send Malek leaning farther and farther into the man, into an almost standing position so he could tower over the faerie and take advantage of him and suddenly Dorian leans away from him that causes the vampire to sit down abruptly in his seat, and he finds himself not disappointed in the least when such a truthful statement falls out of the faerie's lips.

Removing his hand, it is almost a punch in the gut when he speaks those words and it clears his head again so suddenly he could hardly feel the drunkenness in his body. It was such an honest statement that was so dangerously close to how Malek felt it was an obvious struggle to put himself back together and in doing so he snatched the last shot and downed it quickly, just to feel the liquid burn through his body like fire. Schooling his features into a smile he turns back to Dorian and tilts his head slightly, "Ahh, well it certainly can be rather lonesome," he quirks a grin at his own lame joke, "We all suffer in our own ways, Dorian. Some just handle it better than others," he trails off, unsure as to why he felt the need to comfort the faerie, but he does and continues to do so.

"Spend the night drinking with me, my friend, so that we can feel awful in the morning and regret the mass amounts of alcohol we have consumed here!" he gestures with his hands a devilish glint flashing in his eyes. Yes, Malek had plans to get much more drunk than he had originally planned, "And then, if you are still feeling lonesome I encourage you to retire home with me, I have a rather comfortable couch you may borrow, or if you are feeling the need to be even closer to someone you may share my bed with me," he waggles his brows with such playfulness it sends the vampire laughing at his own boldness, another full bodied laugh that shook his chair.

His words were not his usual seductiveness, merely a friend offering a friend a place to stay and to enjoy each other's company and to talk the night away. It would be like girl talk only it would be man talk! "Tell me, Dorian, what brought you out tonight and wish to be entertained by someone so lowly as myself," he asks a smile dancing on his face returning the conversation to more neutral grounds. Though, he wouldn't mind to continue their playfulness elsewhere Malek simply decided he would not be the one to drag the faerie from the bar unless he wished to, as much as he would love to discover the man beneath the covers he was rather enjoying this easy conversation, talking amongst one another. A first for Malek.
