East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

there's something in the way

Had she possessed the ability to allow herself access to the private musings of others, the things that went unsaid, Isolt would have sighed at this woman's considerations. Her assumptions and the conflict of pride and posterity that raged beyond eyes that, to her merit, surrendered not a shred of the happenings beyond. The young Supreme knew quite well what she was up against, what she would continue to be up against in her endeavor to cultivate relationships and to ensure that her coven, their coven, not only survived but flourished. They were, as monarchs of the nighttime hours, a species marked by their independence, perhaps destined by their immortality to be solitary and to meet any manner of union with reluctance born of pride. Isolt suspected with some level of certainty that they thought she wished to pilfer this from them, to tear down the dignity that had, in many cases, been decades, centuries even, in the making.

The truth was, in fact, quite the opposite.

The redheaded damsel eyes the woman opposite her for a long, silent moment, knowing as well as she that the sought one had been found. Delicately does she place herself upon the glossed surface of the barstool opposite the admittedly glamorous woman, sweeping a few stray strands of copper to rest behind her ear before allowing azure eyes to meet those of her impromptu companion. "Isolt Griffin," she offers along with a falsely-delicate hand. "But... I get the feeling you already knew that. What brings you here?"
