East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

there's something in the way

His reaction to the caress of her fingers does not transpire without note, nor does Isolt herself go unaffected by the sensation of his flesh beneath the supple bulbs of her fingertips. She had been starved of his touch for so long a time that now she thirsts for him in a manner that wants for accurate explanation. He is the first cool flush of water against desert-parched lips, the first kiss of sunlight after the darkest eve. He is the steadying anchor to a ship battered and worn by the merciless rolling of the sea. The agony of his departure, the piercing sting of his presumed abandonment, lingers there still; it is an undercurrent that only time and patience shall serve to draw from the shore of her emotional self. However, here and now she finds that the desire for his touch, his affection... the desire for him is far greater than the pain he has wrought.

It is for this reason that Isolt's fingertips travel in an agonizingly-slow trajectory up Damon's forearm, curving easily over the swells of his muscles and beneath the fabric of his shirt. The response he offers, though, presses hairline fissures into the thin gloss of her tactile exploration, the man every bit as stubborn as Isolt remembers him to be. An endearing quality to be sure; however, for the moment the young woman seeks vehemently to be rid of their assertions to shield one another from the long arms of this New Eden. The emotional wave of his return is proving taxing upon the redheaded damsel, whatever wherewithal she may have had left to give draining quickly from her body. And so gently does she place a single finger against her lover's lips, the airy whisper of a single word all she sees fit to offer. "Stop."

Isolt leans into his caress, warmed somehow by the touch though both creatures had known naught by the glacial kiss of death upon their skin for quite some while. Her eyes, when they open, flicker to his own, the azure depths simmering with something not seen there in a notably lenghty while. Nearly do they mirror the darkness of her companion's gaze, a leisurely, sensuous brush of her lips given to his fingertips before Isolt lifts herself to press them passionately to those of her lover. There exists no further need for words in this moment, all that she need say already inherent in the gesture itself. All he need do is ask and she would forfeit herself to him... wholly and without hesitation.
