East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Autumn was relatively new to Sacrosanct, and the only reason she came to this place was because of the power that rested within. It seemed like the best place for her to further her craft, and in a city full of supernatural beings she fit right in. She knew the danger that was possible, but she also knew that she had quite an arsenal of ways to defend herself. Her power for one, she was able to freeze almost anything with just a wave of her hands. It didn't last forever, but it was enough for her to get ahead of an attack if one ever came. Then there was all of the potions she had made, she was always prepared for anything that would come her way. She had to be when times were as unsteady as they were these days.

She had taken care of finding a place to live earlier in the week; she found a cute little apartment that suited her perfectly. It was a studio, which she preferred, but it was also surprisingly big. It gave her the freedom to set up things as she wished and still left her room for working on her potions and whatever else took her attention from time to time. Today she was out searching for a job, usually a task that people rather hated, but she enjoyed it. It gave her a chance to explore the city and find out some of the secrets it held. She'd heard about a burlesque bar called Cat's Meow that was looking for a bartender, and it seemed like that would suit her best. She had a way with people, sure it consisted of sass and attitude, but people always kept coming back to her at the bar she used to work at. She figured it had to do with wanting what you couldn't have, and AJ made sure that no one could have her, not really. It was part of what made her such a good bartender, aside from the fact she was damn good at mixing drinks.

The witch opened the door to the Cat's Meow, deep amber eyes looking over the interior. A small smile pulled at her lips as she let the door close behind her and she moved farther in, taking in as much as she could. This was an interesting little place, and she knew this would be the perfect place for her. A small sigh passed her lips, relieved it wasn't some little shitty hole in the wall. The blonde continued to wander through the building; she knew that someone had to be here, the door was unlocked.

"Hello, anybody home?"

Now all she had to do was wait for a response, but until that was accomplished she would keep wandering. Her strides were smooth and confident; her long legs were covered by a pair of black skinny jeans. Her upper body covered by a simple white t-shirt that hung just loose enough to leave people wondering what was underneath. She had a style that was all her own, but she was also a chameleon when it came to fashion. She figured if she was just looking for a job she didn't have to bring her night look just yet, especially when it was in the middle of the day. Nevertheless, she did look good, her blonde hair hung in delicate waves just past her shoulders. Her make-up was simple with smoky eyes, and a shimmery gloss upon her lips. Her look was so much sweeter than she actually was, and that was how she liked it. She loved to prove people wrong, especially if they were stupid enough to think someone's appearance gave away everything they were.
