East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She chuckles, squeezing my hand. I shake my head in response. "You just need to grow into your crown, that's all. I have all the confidence in the world in you, Sam, and you should too." She seems fully amused by the idea of me playing hard to get, chuckling again before telling me that she's supposed to be playing hard to get. The notion of me pleading makes me chuckle this time. "Touche, my queen. Doesn't dancing in the sky over the ocean get more points than pleading though? I swear it's not a pretty sight when I plead." I say with a mock serious expression. I mention her perfume but she looks preoccupied, looking down and I raise a brow. "My dearest queen, is someone afraid of heights? You're not going to panic on me, are you?" I do seem to get her distracted when I mention Dorian, her laughter echoing in the clouds. I poke my bottom lip out in a fake pout. "Well that's disappointing. I guess I shall have to settle for third most trusted then, unless that spot is taken as well?" I ask with a raised brow.

She inhales sharply as I let her touch the cloud and her giggle makes me grin, caught up in her contagious happiness. I know she's trying to say she doesn't have wings but she cuts herself off. I clear my throat. "Well, if I was to join your monarchy, then you would have wings. My wings would be your wings, my gun yours, my sword, yours." When I dip her upside down, she squeaks and I pull her back up with a knowing smirk. I already knew what she was going to say before she even says it. "As good a time as any, I suppose. I won't let anything happen to you, Sam." I smile, twirling her again. "So what you're saying is you need a distraction. I can supply that. Talking is always a distraction. What did you always want to be when you grew up?"
