East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I feel the power under her skin the moment our hands touch and I know that she's very old, very experienced, if you will. I can only wonder how much she must have seen in her lifetime, how much she could teach me if I had the patience to sit and listen. She gives her name and I nod. "That's certainly an original name. Does it have a meaning?" I can't help my curiosity. I note out of the corner of my eye that she likes to play with a pendent on her necklace. I wonder if it's important to her, if it belonged to someone she lost or something but it's not my business to ask. We just met, after all. When I show her how to reach the messages, she lets out a sound and I smirk in amusement, letting her have the phone back to read the message. I shake my head. "I bet if someone showed you enough times, you'd be a pro in no time." I assure her.

I nod. "Thanks, don't mind if I do." You don't have to ask me twice. I'm used to being alone, don't get me wrong. I'll never turn down company though, especially when it's another fairy that doesn't want to rip my head off. I grab my burger and drink, coming back to sit and taking a huge bite. I'm not shy when it comes to my cheeseburgers. After I've chewed for a little bit, I manage to look up at her. "So what brings you to town? Moving in or just passing through?"
