East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

when words are not enough

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

There was no denying, in that moment, with that look that so registered across her features, that there were millenniums that stretched on before them. His thoughts of life and death were all but archaic by modern standards and Alexis was very much a modern woman - it was a simple fact that Alexander had found himself entirely forgetting. A soft sigh so left his lips, the Dark Hunter simply reassuring her of a simple truth that he was entirely assured of. Of all the people who so walked this earth, few were ever truly innocent. Fewer still ever really deserved the lives they had been granted. Perhaps he was merely jaded by the centuries that had fluttered before those sea-colored eyes, maybe time had turned him into a pessimist and yet, regardless, he took the moment to share that which he knew with such certainty. His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as the woman stepped away from him, clearly failing to sooth despite his noble intentions.Perhaps her heart was simply far too good to find any sort of solace in what she had done? A small frown so pressed at his lips and yet, it was a moment that was altogether fleeting, replaced instead by the woman's altogether bold forward step.

His lips fit ever so delicate against the young woman's own, the man altogether embracing her within that precarious moment as his hands gingerly reached out to touch her hips, pulling her closer towards him. He was altogether willing to simply forget all of those words that had led up to this very moment, their differences of opinion entirely meaningless to the man as he stole those sweet kisses from her lips, kisses she had been hesitant to give not but moments prior. Slowly, however, Alexander pulled away from her, his blue-green gaze steadfast upon her as he gingerly brushed her hair behind her ear. "If you want, Alexis, your job is yours to have again." Those words were but a whisper, so answering that original inquiry she had of him. He still found himself entirely wondering what her intent was of this budding thing between them, and yet, such answers, he supposed were hardly necessary right this second. That brush of lips alone was enough to placate the Macedonian King for now.
