East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I'm more alive than I've ever been

It is difficult to discern what, precisely, Isolt had intended to come of this gifting of her heart into the hands of a man she had once feared as deeply as she had feared her creator; or, coincidentally, if any such intentions existed at all. Perhaps it was simply an admission voiced for the subconscious purpose of internal catharsis, after all the previous twenty-four hours had proven harrowing, nearly-catastrophic for the pair. There had been more than a few terrifying moments when the redheaded woman had believed she may very well come to lose one of her most beloved companions. Perhaps then Isolt had chosen to admit the breadth of her adoration for him for fear that she may not soon come upon the chance again; the youthful immortal could not have fathomed an eternal existance wherein she had not admitted to loving him as she did. Regret, she suspected, was a tiresome and hefty burden to bear upon that winding and endless avenue. Opposite the same token was Isolt's knowledge that Tetrdaore had spent nearly all of his life oppressed beneath Risque's leather boot, wandering aimlessly through the terror she had made for him. A great many important things had been pillaged from the man before her, a great many things denied him all those years of his life... and so he should not be made to trudge forth through life without the knowledge that he was loved so entirely. That even in this deepest darkness there existed some ray of light, of hope.

Her hands fall to rest upon his chest just as his ease unto her hips with his withdrawl, Isolt's brow pinching into a troubled furrow for the lines that sleeplessness had begun to carve into his otherwise unquestionably handsome face. Rest, she suspected with quite a measure of assured confidence, had yet to find her companion in the wake of their torturous ordeal the evening prior. He had yet to fall into sleep's rejuvinating cradle and the evidence was written upon his face as clearly and as plain as the emerald to his eyes. A knowing smile suggests itself upon Isolt's lips at his attempt to shrug her concerns away, a gentle and slow shaking of her fire-crowned head doing the very same for his idle inquiry of her wellbeing. He would not be liberated from her concerns quite so easily as he believed. "Nice try," she offers, though her tone is far from unkind, "but you forget that I'm a doctor... I know when someone is exhausted. Come with me." At that Isolt grasps for his hand, marveling still at the warmth of his skin against the cool pallor that is her own, leaving no space for argumentative squabbling and hollow reassurances.

It is a short venture into the cozy bowels of Red on the Water, the room that Isolt presents to her companion is a small and yet nonetheless homey space prefectly suited for so weary a body as his: a fully-dressed and spacious bed complete with nightstand and a lamp that casts soft, soothing light into the compact suite. A small bureau accents the far wall, though heretowith it had never been utilized. "I stay here sometimes if I get caught working until dawn," she explains as she ushers him into the petite apartment. "I'm sorry there aren't any windows, but as you can imagine that can cause a bit of a problem." A quiet, geniune chortle escapes from the young vampire's cherried lips, delicate fingers working diligently to turn the duvet down upon the bed. "Please at least try to rest here for a little while. I can whip something up too, if you're hungry, but I need you to rest."
