East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It had felt like ages since the Were girl had had an evening to herself. As of late, it seemed that the men in her life had so attempted to keep the English girl in a constant state of travel. First, it had been Africa - with those few weeks being utterly wonderful, of course, but the heat had made them exhausting. Not to mention the boat ride there - instead of the planes Edie so preferred - that had made it miserable. Of course, after that Frost had whisked her away to Vegas. That trip had been certainly more... luxurious. But it had still been working into late, late hours as they skillfully won their new fortune. And then as soon as she'd returned to Sacrosanct, she'd been whisked off once more by Kato. This time to England - which had been so lovely to see her homeland. But still, all this traveling was wearing a girl out.

Tonight, Edie had decided, would be entirely for her. With Kato off doing god knows what, there was no one to claim her immediate attention. Well, except Frost. But she had been trying her best to avoid spending alone time with her Alpha as of late. There was that whole... engagement thing... that she hadn't worked out how to tell him yet. Not that she thought he would be angry... or at least she hoped he wouldn't be angry. She just had to find the perfect time to tell him. And she was sure that time would present itself... at some point at least. Tonight was not that night.

No, tonight the young Were had ducked out of the pack house dressed in the typical club gear that she loved so much. A bit of an odd look was afforded to her by Claire as she left out into the cold rain in an outfit that showed so much skin. Ah. Claire should be used to this by now from Edie. The cold was hardly a deterrent for her. No, if anything, the cold rain only encouraged her need to be out. She had immediately set herself downtown and towards those bars that she loved so very much. The very first bars that she had come across in Sacrosanct had been in the East. And how she loved them.

The first bar, as it turned out, was a complete and utter waste of her time. What had once been a clever bar filled with people who liked to dance and have a good time had been turned into one of those hipster dive bars that she despised. Gone were the people who wanted to dance. They had been replaced by people who drank tasteless beer and only wanted to brag about all the cool, underground things that they liked. When the one boy who had bought her a beer had mentioned a secret fighting ring on a boat in the West, Edie had rolled her eyes so hard she was sure that they were going to fall out and roll across the floor. Somehow, she resisted her desire to make him see what a true idiot he was. Instead, she simply warned the human boy that he should stay away from things his kind would never understand. Humans. What a waste of her time.

So now she was bored and painfully sober as she went in search of her next locale. The stupid human had to have bought her one of those dreadful beers, hadn't he. She couldn't get the taste off her tongue. Her next stop seemed more lively than the first. The line of people waiting to get in was horrendous, and after five minutes of waiting in an unmoving line, Edie was restless. This wasn't worth it. She wasn't having any fun. It was that realization that had her branching off from the line and into an alleyway. Perhaps if she was fast she could meet up with Kato at the market before he got off work. Yes... that was exactly what she would do.

Or at least, that was her plan. Until she found herself so suddenly stuck within something. Confused, Edie pulled back - or at least attempted to pull herself back. The thick - was that webbing? - seemed to pull her back. Unfortunately for Edie, the very act of moving at all seemed to mean that she would be further ensnared by the webs until her arms and legs were completely useless to her. Shite. What the hell? How did she always seem to find herself in these kinds of situations?

"Uh, hello?" Edie called out, hoping that someone nearby would hear and come to her assistance - not that she was thrilled about needing to ask for assistance at all - and she would be freed from this mess. "Spiderman? Can you come let me out now?"
