East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

;; dancing with this chemical attraction

Sebastian Ellingtonfor pleasure seldom has a cure

Sebastian was well aware that affinity he so relied upon to coax his victims beyond their usual inhibitions was particularly ill-effective on the woman that stood in front of him. He remembered now that scene she had created at the slightest brush of his abilities. Still, it wasn't often that he relied upon such abilities with some like herself anyways. Sebastian disliked using that power to create attraction where there clearly was none. It felt, somehow, morally wrong to him and instead, more often than not, he simply chose to leave and avoid situations such as this. It was what he'd done after that speed dating had gone so ary. He had tried to help, certainly, but since then he'd learned well that, with her, doing so was fruitless. She was determined to hate him for what he was. It wasn't the first time and certainly wouldn't be the last. The vampire was truly hardly perturbed by her intense dislike - rather, the only reason he so lingered was the simple fact that she'd interrupted his meal and she was still bleeding quite profusely. It was enough to so call to the more animalistic side of him that he so often tried to quelch, leaving the man pausing where he otherwise might not have bothered.

Regardless, he still offer to assist in so mending the young woman's hand, that scent was altogether distracting, calling him with a vengeance that he strove to deny. The words that were so sharply spat back at him were hardly any true surprise and yet, a small frown danced upon his features, his shoulders rising and falling in a nonchalant shrug. He watched as her fist tightened and for a moment the vampire found himself unable to stop the comment of her appearing worse for wear that fell from his mouth, even though he knew such a comment was decidedly impolite. Her abrasive demeanor had a way of occasionally so squirming through that facade of utter politeness he had been so well trained to display at all times. Within his age, anything but was utterly unacceptable and often resulted in being socially ostracized. Still, it was after a moment of silence that Sebastian informed her of his intentions with that girl, the one he'd so coaxed out here in the first place. That anger that so laced the Dark Hunter's words only caused a soft sigh to leave his mouth, his head shaking ever so slightly to the side. He knew well enough it was quite likely she had heard those words many times over and yet, wasn't it her job to be certain that the man she was hunting was worth killing? Wasn't her species designed to be a safeguard and not some mass murderer? Then again, of late it seemed that line had become thin with their kind. Maybe it always was.

Such idle contemplations, however, were interrupted by the sound of that door opening behind her, drawing the bright blue of Sebastian's irises. He eyed that burly bouncer, that threat hardly as concerning as it might have been where the two individuals anything but the supernaturals they were. Still, Sebastian knew innately the police would side with the woman in front of him, regardless of anything he said. It was...less inconvenient to simply leave, not that he had any reason to stay in the first place. It was the movement of the hunter in front of him that saw him pause. Her distaste of him was great enough that he hardly trusted turning his back towards her. For a moment, the vampire simply stared at her, watching as she shifted her body in an effort to so release the tension that his presence clearly seemed to have upon her. It was only when her own gaze opened once again that the tenseness seemed to return, her comment so spat at him with the same ferocity as before. His head shook ever so slightly at those words and yet, his own foreign lit lyrics had a hint of exhaustion to them, "No one wants to 'play' with you, Gia." God, how he hated that word - play. His maker had used it in the same fashion to denote the death of others. How they both regarded life so poorly to call taking it 'play' was something he would never understand. His hand rose in a fashion that was clearly intending to be non-threatening as he stepped back. "Besides, unlike you, I still have something live for." Or rather, more specifically, someone. He refused to let her murder him here, not when that Italian King was still alive and breathing.
