East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

we stopped checking for monsters under our beds,

when we realized they were inside of us all along.

He smells her before he sees her and the viking grits his teeth, angular jawline showing his irritation at having his interaction interrupted. Hand releases, shoulders rolling as he turns to face the intruder who calmly expresses her distaste in his current actions. His face is a mask though within his anger rolls in waves, igniting flames in the darkness. "this does not concern you." he says simply, that intense gaze flicking from her face in the dimly lit alleyway to the movement of her hand as it falls behind her. No doubt a weapon there, though for now he can't see it.

Movement behind him as the other were stumbles to get up, for now the viking ignores his presence, unbothered by the creature he was previously dealing with. "you need to pay a fee to enjoy this show." his low voice almost playful yet holding a menacing tint to it. His head tilts, bearded, scarred face covered partly by the shadows leaving nothing more than the grimacing side for her view. His eyes seem to break through the darkness, icy shards against the shadows.

As if on cue the other were launches, flinging his body towards the were lion who remains steadfast. His free arm thrusts out from his side, thick fingers coming to wrap around the other's neck. A growl erupts from deep within his throat, axe rising to meet throat once again only this time he presses, watching with estranged glee as crimson falls from the fresh wound. "fool..." his word is growled out, hot against the other male's flesh as all thoughts of the other girl who had interrupted leaves him, turning his sanity to insanity. The voices have taken over now, flooding his concsiousness and leaving a monster in their wake. He presses, blood beginning to fall from his own ears as he fights against it. Not because he wishes to spare this life but because he needs this male.

A snarl and the viking throws the other were deep into the alleyway, "Leave, and tell him he has three days before i come." his command is a reverberating roar through the darkness, crystalline orbs watching in disgust as he does just as the viking commands. As footsteps retreat and silence falls, the were lion turns, normally hard eyes seeming soft and almost exhausted as they fall on the girl once more. "you're still here?" his gruff tones a broken whisper. He holds out his hand, looking calm, cool and collected though inside his mind is tormented. The souls angry for his betrayal and his headaches growing worse. He holds out a thick hand, palm up. "payment please?'
