East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

LET THE DARKNESS TAKE YOU

When you look into an abyss, the abyss looks into you
His touch. It's unlike anything Regan has ever experienced. Her first recollection of human touch is being beaten by her father with a bamboo rod. For years that was the only touch she knew. Pain. Blood. The kiss of shadow and darkness on her skin. Sacrosanct saw her through the first touch of flesh on hers that brought no pain. Yet, it didn't illicit any other feeling besides disquiet. Always wary of the sensation. Then Tetradore touched her. An explosion of power and safety. Of gentleness, comfort and maybe something more. Pack followed. A sense of belonging. But this? This is heat. It burns into her skin and stokes a fire inside her belly. She doesn't understand and somehow knows she wants more.

Not that she'll let herself have it. For this foreign feeling terrifies her. Anything knew is dangerous. Deadly. She might have to kill him after all.

He tastes of death and something uniquely him. Regan finds its not altogether distasteful. The touch of his bloody jaw makes Regan still. He must think himself a painter -- dragging the blood in swirling patterns across her ebony fur. The tigress doesn't particularly mind but Regan finds her upper lip curling back in a silent snarl of distaste. Her tail flicking slightly at the end -- a further display of her displeasure at his choice of canvas. The moment he stills and allows his massive head to rest upon her shoulder, Regan gets twitchy. It seems they have that in common also. Apparently, Regan doesn't mind DOING the touching. Just being on the receiving end of it gives her the willies.

Who would have known. She sure didn't.

The massive brute moves away just as the twitching begins to get really noticeable. A snarled leave it echoing in her mind. The tigress snarls at him. She warned him already about bossing her around. For a moment her amethyst eyes glow. Serious and deadly before dimming. The only outward warning she truly gave him. She watches as his hulking russet form puts more distance between them.

Mr. Grumpy McGrumpypants has his panties in a twist it seems.

Regan shifts and rises to her feet and without warning pounces on his massive back where she bites down lightly on the back of his neck before twisting and jumping off. "What's your name viking?" Her voice pours into his mind and whispers softly. You know, because inquiring minds want to know.
