East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

Dark Hunters were supposed to be the silent protectors within the city. At least that was what she learned when she had to listen to Azrael drone on and on about his civic duty. As far as she was concerned she considered the Dark Hunters similar to that of the Russian KGB or Hitler's Schutzstaffel. It didn't matter whether her kind or any other supernatural stayed out of trouble, Dark Hunters took anyone that they deemed 'unacceptable.' Not every supernatural creature was bad. Hell, not ever supernatural creature was born one in the first place. It wasn't a non-natural's fault that they were now cursed upon this Earth as something else. Raven could recall the sweet red-head that owned the Irish pub nearby, as just one of the ones that was turned to become a vampire. She shouldn't be attacked or hunted down. As for herself, well, she believed she shouldn't be hunted down either, but at the same time she felt guilty for killing her own â€" regardless of the fact that they did deserve it. They were in the downtown part of the city, and even at night, it was bustling with humans and supernatural creatures. With the way the Dark Hunter was acting he was endangering the very lives he was supposed to protect. Surely her killing her wasn't worth harming or killing humans nearby.

As she tore through the alleyway she was attempting to at least be the responsible one. Maybe if another Dark Hunter came they would see their own acting far too reckless and stop them before something worse happens. Using her telekinesis to take the gun out of his hand seemed like a pretty good start. Now if only she could shake him off. Bounding around the corner, she turned her dial to double check her pursuer, but suddenly she collided into something heavy and furry. Her vision suddenly went blurry and her world turned upside down. The wind was completely knocked out of her. Breathing heavily, blue-grey eyes widened in shock as she tried to take in her new surroundings. The sound of a growl caused the fur along her hackles to rise. Slowly the she-wolf began to bring herself on her four paws. Unlike other wolves her markings were not natural at all. While her paws were dusted with grey topped off with a curled wave, her tail had the same sort of markings. Along her back and spine was a grey with dragon like wings spread far and wide behind where her shoulders would be. Seeing the equally inky black wolf beside her, she went still believing for a moment she was seeing two wolves. Weakly a soft apologetic voice pressed carefully into the other she-wolf's mind.

"N-no...shocked. I didn't mean to run into you both."

She didn't feel hurt. At least she didn't feel the painful bite of a silver bullet entering her body. She was rather lucky! After all she couldn't heal properly like other Weres. There was a reason why her entire body was covered in various jagged scars. As she stared at the two wolves before her she watched as they suddenly morphed into one. Closing her eyes she shook her head, opening them to see that her vision had cleared. It was a good thing too, because when she heard the sound of some blade singing above her head, she ducked it towards the pavement hearing a soft thud. Eyes shifted upwards to see one of his throwing knives had entered perfectly into the side of the trunk...far too close for comfort for either of them. Hearing the other growl, she responded in kind, the deep growl rumbling with in her own chest. Still feeling the effects of the flight and fight stimulus she turned around to see the Dark Hunter coming closer. While she she-wolf began to charge at their shared assailant Raven released a soft whimper, feeling her body start to go cold and the buzzing in her head suddenly intensifying. Raven knew what would happen next and she didn't want any harm coming to her...she didn't deserve to be torn into shreds. Holding onto her last attempt at control her terrified voice rang out to Mira.
"You need to run away!"

Indeed she needed to run away, because the Dark Hunter wouldn't be the only one that would cause her harm. The peculiar colored she-wolf began to snarl, her black lips pulling back to reveal her sharp ivory teeth. The sound of bone and sinew snapping could be heard as the she-wolf turned into a ferocious creature the size of a bear, the girl capable of growing three times her size. All that was left of Raven was simply gone and in her place was the part of herself she was absolutely terrified of. Blue-grey eyes narrowed when she zoned in on the ebony she-wolf being stabbed by the Dark Hunter. With a vengeful snarl the bear sized wolf charged at the Dark Hunter, one massive grey paw smacking him into the ground. Lowering her dial she snapped her massive jaws taking his hip, and lifting her dial to shake him back and forth as if he were a ragdoll. Suddenly she felt something sharp stabbing her cheek. With a loud yelp she released the Dark Hunter as he fell upon the ground. Raising her paw up she attempted to scratch the side of her face, the sharp knife being a bothersome. As the Dark Hunter tried to crawl away she slammed her paw into his form, eyes darting to the other she-wolf as the man's cries and shouts began to irritate her. Even in her feral state she knew this was not hers. For a brief moment it would seem her primal state was willing to be...considerate.
