East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The vampire seemed to enjoy her encircling him like the predator she was, his smile growing. "No." She says simply, in reply, allowing but a small sliver of a moment before she admits a small truth. "I prefer to have my mind unclouded." She doesn't betray why, that nightingale, sing song voice curling about him, as if they could touch this stranger. Often times, when the woman drank alcohol, the drink was left untouched or only partially tasted. Only for the illusion of fitting into the chosen bar she haunts. You see, this twisted little dark one is all about illusions, smoke and mirrors are everything to this raven haired woman. She was far more deadly than the pointed fangs in her mouth; after all she had better weapons at her disposal.

She assesses her situation with intelligent pale eyes, his grin widens as her face remains unreadable and dark. He tightens his grip upon the man's throat, his face turning a darker hue of purple. She could see him fighting for sweet consciousness. His heart beat races like that of a pursued rabbit. The worm was so close to being obliterated from this earth and she draws a cold breath steadying breath, practically tasting the dampness as the other vampire spoke about survival of the fittest. "Mhm." She sings. Which was he? It was too early to tell if he was all, one or neither. "But sometimes even they die." A delicious little smirk forms upon her crimson lips, just as ominous as she is.

Her prey was suddenly released, flopping about upon the ground gasping for air like a fish on land. A small smile dances upon her lips at the sight. However, she does not trust this arrogant creature. She could see the bright red print of his hand across the other man's throat. "You act like you have done me a favour. But you underestimate just what I am capable of." She strides to the crumpled and pitiful man who stares at her with widened, fearful eyes. 'No, no, no' he chanted like a mantra, over and over again.

Perhaps she is curious as to why this man wanted him dead too, each having their own and very different reasons. One fueled by power the other by bitter nostalgia. "Why do you need him dead?" She questions curiously, perhaps wanting to understand what this man enshrouded by mystery wanted. She placed a heel at her victim's throat, digging into that tender and delicate flesh, a perilously steady crushing pressure. She smiles down at the man at her heel, allowing the illusion of the demon in his office to morph her face for but a flash of a second, toying with his mind. Oh that smile was horrifying, a gaping mouth held open by sinew, displaying a mouth that was all elongated sharp teeth. The fear comes off of him in waves, the smell was like ambrosia flooding her nostrils. Just like that, in a blink of an eye, her face flickers back to normal. That beautiful porcelain face then lifts to look at the other vampire.

In this moment, she doesn't understand how anyone could not want the hunt, this very moment when the balance of life and death hangs so precariously like swinging blade so close to their neck. It was enticing, it was delicious. But she is so painfully aware of the other vampire's presence, can practically feel it prickling upon her skin. The man with an antagonizing grin with storms for eyes, eyes that seemed to know only how to mock and prod.
