East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sebastian Ellingtonfor pleasure seldom has a cure

Those efforts to reassure the young woman fell decidedly flat, even if that concern was entirely pertinent now. Those men whom so threatened his very life were dead and though that stake was still buried into his flesh, his heart was whole. He was alive and that was what truly mattered to the Englishman. A weak simper crossed his features as she insisted she should have not underestimated the Italian that lay dead but mere feet away from them. Truly, perhaps she had overestimated Sebastian himself. Still, he hardly saw a need to inform her of that, the vampire entirely content to keep such dismal thoughts to himself. That pain that laced his form was far too great to simply fret himself over arguing the past. The man flinched ever so slightly, his hand rose to his chest, entirely able to feel that very piece of wood that so punctured his lungs and sat far too close to his heart for comfort. It was the sound of her heels stepping away from him that was but a momentary distraction, that fresh scent of blood falled to him perhaps as much as that delicious smell threatened to overwhelm him as it was. He needed to eat. He knew he needed to eat and briefly those near black hued eyes drifted towards that body that rested nearby, at least, until the sound of those careful steps drew his attention upwards towards the female vampire once again.

His lips parted in clear astonishment of that tender juicy morsel she held so delicately within her hands. It smelled utterly delectable and how he longed for it. Sebastian hardly had it in him to reject that gift, his lips parted as she placed it in his palms and hungrily he feasted upon that heart, that blood spilling upon his lips and down his jaw. It was with care that the vampire ate around that final piece, reserving it for the woman alone if only for some fear that she too required some sort of blood after the sheer magnitude of those illusions she had so beset those attackers with. He was hardly unaware of that look that had entered her eyes, even if he was uncertain of what harm had befallen upon her. It was surely his duty to see to her well being when she had so risked much to save him. Gingerly, he slid that piece of meat into her mouth, watching as the woman so chewed on it, that blood pouring down her from that plump pillow of her bottom lip.

Sebastian was wholly unaware of those thoughts that so fret her mind. He understood, to some extent the danger he was in and yet he had perhaps naively assumed that the true threat was over. He was assured that removal of the stake was truly just a matter of reaching, not quite realizing how deeply embedded into his chest it was or how close the tip laid so close to his beating heart, except for that pain that filled his chest at any uttered word. A small, weak simper crossed his lips as her tongue caressed her pale flesh. Those softly uttered words brought a soft chuckle from his lips, a sound that was cut off but moments later as a glimpse of pain crossed his features. The vampire's head bobbed ever so slightly as the female uttered softly that it was necessary to remove that stake from his chest, "I can think of nothing better." He uttered, still attempting to appeal jovial despite that suffering he so endured. The vampire hardly expected the touch of those illusions, that city near vanishing before those now bright colored eyes - irises that were so alight with the life of that blood she'd fed him.

That soft sand underfoot ensnared the man, the pond near glistened within the sunlight and though his heart beat momentarily faster with the presence of that bright light he was near required to hide from, the vampire found himself slowly relaxing as it failed to claw away his flesh. It was only an illusion, somewhere, deep within his heart he knew this and with that knowledge Sebastian found comfort. A small smile crossed his lips as he reached for the pond, letting his fingers caress the surface of those clear waters. "It reminds me of home..." He uttered softly, those images of Belton House in England so springing to his mind. It was that delicately spoken request for his stillness, however, that brought his thoughts back to the reality of his situation, the man merely nodded as his hand settled back at his side. His bright blue eyes watched as her fingers slowly undid those buttons, moving with ease from one to the next only to reveal that fit physique underneath. He leaned forward ever so slightly as the woman moved around him, providing her that access to that stake. His head shifted to watch her, their gaze but momentarily locked as her fingers wrapped around that piece of wood, pulling it from his back with a abrupt, fluid motion.

A soft grunt reverberated on his lips as he leaned forward, his palm pressed against his chest where his heart was as the man so attempted to coax with that hurt that flooded his system with it's removal. His blue eyes rose upwards ever so slightly at those teasing words upon her lips, that smile was returned with a rather weak one of his own. His eyebrows furrowed at the glimpse of pain that clearly beset her, those illusions slowly began to wane as even she admitted she was not unhurt. He watched as her hand shifted backwards over her shoulder, them man fully aware of exactly what sort of wound she had received. Sebastian shifted, hardly perturbed now that the stake had been removed. Rather, he shifted to his knees in front of her, his finger tracing her bottom lip before he leaned forward, pressing his lips gently against her own in a kiss that was fully meant to be both a distraction and a show of his own appreciation. His hand reached under her arm, his fingers easily finding that knife as he grasped it, sliding it from her own flesh. The dagger fell from his fingers, clattering upon the cement as he slowly pulled away from her, his thoughts momentarily drifting away from the woman and towards that fae King he adored. He had to let this stranger go - he knew it was a necessity. Their time together was coming to an end. Even so, a warm smile traced his features as he leaned back. "Thank you, dove, for all your help." He uttered softly, his English lyrics entirely filled with a genuine gratitude.
