East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

AMOR MARCEL CONSTANS
THE BEAST INSIDE OF ME IS GONNA GET YOU
v a m p i r e

Perhaps meeting Amor did her some good; he gave her a clue, he gave her backbone. They say the best way to learn is through first-hand experience. And if there was ever a fierce human, it was the little girl that can barely contain herself before him. She bit at him with a word of doubt and it only continued to fuel his dark desire for her. The disaster of emotion left him liable to just about anything and he would have no clue what it would be. If his heart wasn't so rotten he would turn away from her and walk away; he wouldn't risk the possibilities. But he couldn't, the mere nostalgia of standing before her was enough to leave him stuck.

Another sarcastic remark and it is pure excitement that flashes in his eyes. He almost wondered if she was just a sucker for the Amor she knows, for the pain that comes with his tenderness. She wouldn't even hear him, she refused to see and feel the slave that he was to her. It was twisted, for it was reciprocated in such extremes. She indulged in the madness; the volatile mixture of love and hate. Of course she did, it was him that could not handle this reality. And even if he entertained this thought - as the spitfire sought to break the beast from the chains â€" he wanted her to deny the bittersweet pleasure.

The reality of what he had done to Harlequin had long since set in but he was a wicked man and he wanted her. He missed his pet and it seemed that no matter how long it has been, he was still at the root of everything she was. She had grown from the darkness he had introduced her to. And his handy-work only wanted to show him what it felt like to be broken down and built back up, just as she had been. However, it had happened generations before her little family was but less than a speck of possibility in the infinity of universe and reality alike. His walls were thicker and over the years, more masterfully crafted. Behind the walls were deadly traps and dark, twisted corners. Beyond that, that monster that guards a decayed heart. One that cannot die but is constantly tortured by hunger; for he has but a mere taste of this very raven haired vixen.

He could not deny her the anger she felt but the provoking notion behind her next statement was enough to push Amor from the edge that he had been teetering on since the moment he saw her. She could have saved him, saved them but she determined to see it break free from all restraint. And, despite all that he wanted for the both of them, she gets exactly what she wanted. The moment the last word slipped passed her lips, he grips her beneath her jaw and stepped into the alley way, pinning her to the wall. He holds her eye level with him with his body against hers; his knee between her legs. His eyes bore into hers â€" daring her to really think about what she had just said.

His fangs grew enough to make his point as rage ignites by his stare. "Is that what you really want pet?" He forces her chin up and to the side, displaying her pale and fragile neck to himself. "Eternal agony?" He watches her jugular pulse and he chuckles. "I could have given it to you, I could have taken everything away and left you to rot in Hell on Earth." Leaning forward, he breaths her in. "But instead I tried to rid you of the source of it all." His voice but a whisper now, his lips brushing her skin. "I was bad for you and a bastard for sparing you." His lips were now at her ear. "The least I can do is give you what you really wanted."

His grip on her jawline tightens and he holds her head to the wall.

And he pricks her delicate skin with a fang.
