East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

God this place reeked. That sour burning scent seemed to infect every part of him, the scent so overwhelming he swore he could near taste it upon his tongue as he wandered from the living room, leaving the dead Were behind as he made his way towards what foul little room seemed to pass for the kitchen, stepping over rotted food and god knows what else the filthy creature lived in, moving to turn on the water, running it over his hands, attempting to scrub the blood from his skin. Maybe he was supposed to wait for the girl, yet as far as he is concerned she had been entirely too late for his liking, Azrael having made the kill alone. He hardly needed help, hardly paired with other Hunters unless the magnitude of the target seemed to require it and this particularly foul creature had indicated that assistance may be required. As it was, he'd gotten bored waiting for this....whatever the hell her name was and simply decided to take care of it himself, his speed assuring the target had hardly seen him coming, the kill perhaps easier then it should have been. He muttered darkly beneath his breath, still attempting to scrub the blood from his hands. It hardly bothered him, yet for the sake of walking down the street he supposes he might as well make some attempt at fitting in even if it was unlikely he'd been seen at all. The dark denim jeans and black boots he donned for the night tended to offer him a more shadow appearance, sleeveless black hoody pulled up to cover the outrageous wealth of blonde hair that had some become his trademark, equally golden eyes focused on the task at hand before he moved to unsheathe the sword at his back, using the barest dab of water to clean the blade free of any taint. It was merely unfortunate perhaps, that this Were had not been the one he sought of late.

He twisted the blade easily within his hand, sheathing it in the scabbard at his back once more, hardly bothering to conceal the weapon now, shutting off the water before heading back towards the living room, prepared to do something about the body when his own muscles tensed, freezing, breath caught in place as he became distinctly aware of another...hunter. His own form relaxes, tall ,toned form moving to step into the entrance way, words already upon his lips before the woman proceeds to shriek something at him in Italian, a dagger sent flying towards his head as his own ability engages, the young man launching for cover behind the nearest couch, far faster then the eye can track by nature of his immense speed- the blade slamming into the wall behind. If he was being honest he was half willing to admit that it was an impressive throw- as it is his own delightful personality seems to flare into life, his agitation matching her own as she kept blabbering in Italian at him. He knows little of the language despite his age, picking up only a select word or two, the girl saying something about hell as he easily lifted himself back to his feet, one hand reaching to pull his hood down, tousled white gold hair tumbling into his amber gold eyes as they narrowed.

"Che diavolo-whatever yourself. What the fuck is your problem?"

God, he's going to have to wash the entire outfit, fuck knows what was on that floor, one hand moving to brush something off himself as he wandered towards the girl he was supposed to be partnering with- at least for tonight, even if he had clearly robbed her of the kill she had so desired. He moves to brush past her, shoulder thrown against her with little concern, women or not he sees no need to offer her any gentlemanly displays. He has sworn off women entirely, seeking out a human or the rare female Hunter whenever it is he finds it has been far to long since he has achieved a certain physical release. After all, he is still a man, some desires only capable of being satisfied by a woman and yet these one-night stands are the limit of his interaction with them. Nothing would bring back Evelyn, nothing would ever heal that wound and as such he has simply shut that side of himself down, dedicated himself to his work alone, offering little more then his infamous frosty exterior, the man as well known for his ability to track down targets as he is for his 'charming' personality. He pauses before the body that now lies strewn across the floor, a bare hint of pleasure tainting his handsome features in the knowledge that she is surely angry about having been robbed of a victim, the toy of his boot momentarily pressed against the body- as if half trying to rouse a response of the dead Werepanther, his words absentminded and yet decidedly....baiting.

"I assume your Caprice, the one supposed to be assisting me tonight. Maybe if you'd been here on time you would have actually been of use. Maybe next time you'll get here faster. Why don't you actually give yourself a purpose and find something flammable so we can burn this...thing and we can move onto the next target, hmm?"

He openly goads her, testing to see how easily her temper might be made to flare. Who had put him in charge remains to be seen and yet unless otherwise told, Azrael is rather sure he deserves to be in charge here. Maybe this is why he has no friends. At least she was good-looking, he thinks, it's about time his eyes had something...pleasant to look at, rather then the body on the floor.

"It's Az, by the way."

Maybe she already knew his name, maybe she didn't. Maybe he didn't care.
