East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

death incarnate & night triumphant

Andras didn't particularly care for being left in the dark. It made him feel uncomfortable and gave him even more of a reason to look over his shoulder for the unknown terror that haunted him. Running a hand through his dark locks, sending them into disarray once more, he turns to Dorian as the king speaks to him. Giving a short nod, he releases a sigh, "I was grasping at air," he shrugs, "I didn't think your father could very well be behind the massacre, it was merely an idea that I had thought of when I was in the thick of my mourning," he pauses, turning his hazel eyes to the stars, "There has only been one human who has outmaneuvered me in all my years, I didn't truly believe that Ferdinand was capable."

It was a direct statement, though he meant no offense, it was honest through and through. Damn, woman. Yes, the lord had been young and dumb once and had attempted to woo a human woman, yet she had been older than him at the time and far more... experienced at the games of manipulation.

"I do agree with you, Dorian. He wasn't an unwise king and I think the world was shocked when they learned of the curse that had befallen your family," he says, returning his gaze to the faerie as their topic of conversation moves along. When he finishes pitching Dorian his offer, he was inclined to believe that the king would take a while to decide but when the man almost readily accepts his invitation, Andras blinks, the only surprise he was willing to show.

Bowing his head deeply in gratitude, "I am delighted you've accepted my offer Dorian," he offers the fellow a small and genuine smile. As the king continues along, offering the use of his palace along with anything the faerie had at disposal, Andras gives a small nod of his head, "Thank you, that is much appreciated as I have finally run out of leads in my search. Perhaps your plethora of information will yield some knowledge," he trails off, the wheels in his head already turning. It was more than he had ever thought possible! There was perhaps more of a chance to find the murderers, albeit very slight, but a new hope swelled in his chest.

As Dorian mentions a Fae, someone far older than even him, Andras quirks a brow in interest as he is brought back to the present. He, himself, was one of the older faeries, there were very few of their kind that still existed in this world that were older than him. "Again, thank you Dorian. As it is my issue, I would very much like to speak with this faerie. I am used to dealing with difficult people," he states in amusement, his curiosity piqued.

"Might I ask the name of this gentleman?" Andras inquires, shoving his hands into his pockets casually. Perhaps, it was someone he knew, though he very much doubted it.

Watching Dorian clasps his hands behind his back, he's entirely focused on the faerie's movements until he parts his lips and invites him to his wedding. It takes a moment for the information to settle but when it does, a smile explodes across his face. "Congratulations, my friend. That is exciting news indeed! And who might be the lucky person that has captured the King of Italy's heart?" He asks, interest sparking in his eyes though there is genuine happiness for Dorian dancing across his features.

There was truly someone out there for everyone, though Andras couldn't imagine himself having a romantic life, if ever. He could protect his court easily, yet, he would live in terror if he were to have someone at his side while the unknown threat still prowled in the shadows. Shaking off the dark thoughts, his eyes dart to the sky once more. He could begin to feel the ache of his back as his wings hadn't been released in some hours. Andras knew very well he would have to find a quiet place to allow his appendages to breathe or return home soon, yet he remained as he found himself rather enjoying the company of an old friend.
