East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

As far as she knew, her pack didn't do anything with his own. No one said anything about it. Tetradore had never said they couldn't spend time with any of his pack members. It would be a hard thing to do when one of them was his very own sister. When Tetradore died Raven wanted to keep Nadya and her cubs safe by providing them a trust. Surely it would be something that their deceased Alpha would approve of. However, the lupine learned that was actually something that he would not approve. It was shocking to her really when she informed the man on his miraculous return, wanted her to cease all efforts in building them a trust. In her mind it was a subtle way of informing her that there would be no efforts made to meet anyone from Frost's pack on good terms. So, why would Frost inform her that members of her own pack had a habit of interrupting and ruining his afternoon? The lupine never asked her Alpha or mate what they did together when they went off to do whatever it was they wished to do. In fact she had no desire to tell them about this meeting in the first place. What they didn't know wouldn't hurt him, at least, she hoped not. Blue-grey eyes narrowed on the Were-Horse as she slowly tore off each gingerbread's limb, eating it mechanically, without taking that one violet eye off her. If he was attempting to unnerve her with this predatory eating habit, he was doing a poor job of it. His comment about her heirloom being left by them was quite comical. And being called righteous? Well, that was hilarious. Slowly she shook her head as her eyes traveled down to her own hands, noticing the blue diamond her mate had given her.

Not once did she imagine she would ever get married. The life she had now with her loving small pack wasn't one she deserved. Not after what she did to her pack. They all didn't deserve to die. Not the children, they were too young. But that night her feral side refused to remain submissive. That night everything changed. If she could make any changes she would wish for her other half to stay its teeth and claws from those that never directly harmed them, just go after the ones that did them wrong. There was no way she could ever be redeemed after that night. No matter the amount of good deeds she did for the rest of her live, nothing would ever help her wipe away the red ink in her ledger. All she could do was go on living the best life she could have, because the moment she was dead, she would atone for her sins. That medallion that belonged to her pack was an heirloom she didn't deserve and yet she couldn't just let it be given to someone like Frost. That heirloom belonged to someone else. Tobias was worthy of having it, even if it had a wolf and not a wildcat on it. Tobias was more like an Alpha than she would ever be. Her pack had beaten what little was left of whatever being she could have been. Born from Alphas she wasn't built or given a chance to use those natural gifts and talents, they were wasted away and forcefully diminished. With a soft sigh and a slight shake of her head, she corrected the man's false accusations.

"They didn't leave it to me, I took when I killed them. I didn't mean to, it just...happened."

Blue-grey eyes flickered upwards as she stared at the man and without any hesitation spoke a bit louder.

"There isn't anything righteous about me."

She wasn't being harsh. Truly the woman in her natural state didn't have a bad bone in her body. Although she could be strict or cruel if needed, without her feral half in control. But it was never something she wished to be, to be mean and cruel just because. There had to be reason for it, it had to be justified. After all she had been through the young woman didn't want to inflict any sort of pain. She had done enough of that. Inquiring his assistance on this medallion issue was something she knew he wouldn't willingly help her with. There was nothing she knew of that she could do for him that would even in the slightest make him even attempt to think of helping. The jab about her shock of him heaving a heart was answered by him with a snort and retort of her own. With a smirk she responded back quickly, her tone holding a humorous note, not caring in the slightest how annoyed he was with her.

"Don't forget sugar, you need sugar in order to survive."

See. She could make a joke. Raven knew she wasn't a stick in the mud as everyone assumed her to be. There were layers upon layers of her, such things hardly discovered. After years of abuse everything that she was, was locked away. It would take time and years of healing that would help the lupine open up and discover what she was, and what she could be. Raven was learning and slowly feeling out those hidden traits within her personality, slowly trying to rediscover herself. Taking another bite of her gingerbread man she listened intently to his plan, mulling over his price. It didn't seem fair nor ideal. That the Dark Hunter would not be able to activate them, confused her. Why he couldn't activate them she didn't know. But she doubted the Dark Hunter was wanting the medallions to sell money for it. Most men wanted the power not the price tag. Thinking about him made her think about the one man she was truly afraid of, the man she had assumed was dead. How that was possible she didn't know, and yet she saw him as clear as day, that night when she and Frost made their escape together. Murmuring softly there was a tone of fear in her voice as she thought of that vile man.

"Our Hunter friend has my Father."

If his Father was with the Dark Hunter perhaps the two of them were working together? Maybe he was even being forced to help him. Raven didn't want to find out. However, if the man knew how their particular medallion worked then surely he would know how to work the others. Which meant that he would know how to work the others. Perhaps she would know too and then she wouldn't be in this mess. Hell, she may have never met Frost, Tetradore or even Tobias. Oh what a life she would have had if she hadn't been feral or if they had been supportive. The deal that Frost presented herself didn't seem quite fair at all. That he could keep one without her knowing what exactly it did? It seemed wrong and unfair. She didn't want to give them up. The two out of the three had accidentally fell into her hands, but they had a reason right? Like any business there was room to negotiate, and she had plenty of sweets on that plate they could devour together while they conversed. She responded in such a polite tone, keeping it all civil.

"Could you not tell me what each one does, and I continue to keep them? Surely there are other ideas you have, that your ruthless mind can come up with."
