East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Miya continues to rant, her anger bubbling over the surface as she jabs a finger in his direction, taking a step forward as if she could actually do something to him. Her chocolate eyes are blazing fiercely at his... brutish demeanor, though, that fierce look is sent out the door almost immediately as she stumbles into the man, her fingers seeking purchase in his muscular arms. Shock and surprise register briefly across her features as she feels the way his hands come up to grip her elbows firmly and yet he's gentle all the same. Chocolate eyes flick upwards, widened in surprise as she continues to stand there in utter shock, finally registering how huge this man was and that womanly side of her finally notes how very... attractive he is. Her cheeks flame in an instant as she stutters out words that hardly make any sense. Perhaps she shouldn't have been jabbing fingers at this man, he could easily crush her in a matter of seconds if he so chose to. Blinking up at him, she stands there far longer than she ought to, the man making the first move to straighten her.

Dropping her hands from him instantly, she nervously reaches up to grasp the strap of her messenger bag, a habit she had picked up in recent weeks, a tell-tale sign of her nervousness. Glancing away from him, Miya misses the way he begins to slip his jacket up, her eyes darting up to him only when that heavy leather jacket is draped across her shoulders. Eyes wide, she watches the man in surprise. She had just scolded this man and he was... giving her his jacket to chase off that cold. Blushing furiously, she drops her gaze again to look at the ground, ready to open her mouth and let those flood of words out before the guest speaker is, well, speaking again. She's entirely engulfed in that jacket, though she hardly complains by that extra warmth, the woman always freezing this time of year, her petite frame doing nothing to ward off the cold. "I'm sorry I called you a sexist jerk," she mumbles then, cringing at the apology that rolls off her tongue.

When he motions with that hand, her eyes skate across his fingers, noting the tattoos that are etched into his skin briefly before she glances up again, looking down that alleyway. She couldn't very well just dismiss him, he had helped her and given her his jacket, though, Miya was loathe to admit that she needed help with those boys. Sighing, that anger is entirely gone from her frame only to reveal that tiredness that had so plagued her since last night. "Okay," she mumbles out, her voice a bit defeated as she begins slowly down that alleyway. She doesn't quite walk next to the man, her eyes locked on the ground as they finally enter that busy street, the clash of thunder quite near startling her into a stop. Cringing, she glances up, only to be pelted in the face with the first droplets of water. The only thing she hated about living so close to the ocean was that it rained almost every day during the winter. Groaning in utter distaste, she allows her gaze to travel across the street, locating a bar.

"Do you mind if we wait out the storm?" She cringes, looking back at the man, "I forgot my umbrella today and its a long walk home," she explains, waiting for an answer before hurrying across that street and into the warmth. Her hair nearly drenched from that brief moment in the rain, sighing as her eyes adjust to the dimly lit bar, she's pleased to see that it was almost empty. Shrugging off the leather jacket, she hands it back to the man, chocolate eyes darting up to him before leading him towards the bar, picking seats at the end so she can lay her own jacket and messenger bag on one side, leaving the seat next to her open if he decided to sit with her. Turning back on him, she raises her brows at him again, "I'm Miya by the way, you're Mr. Kanaita, right?"
