East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

kissing death and loosing my breath
The sickning crunch of bones snapping back into place had certainly not left the attention of the young witch. She stood on, her grey eyes staring in wide eyed disbelief. If there was any one thing she knew about vampires, it was their cold ferocity at any who attempted to bring about their ultimate death. There was no 'oops, sorry, didn't know you were a vampire, lets be friends'. There was no turning back from what they had started. If they wished to see the morrow, their evening would have to include seeing through this mans inevitable demise. Serafina reached out, desperately trying to pull the man off their new found undead victim. They needed to move, and fast.

Her lips were pressed tightly together as his crystalline gaze slowly refocused upon her and briefly she could tell that the man in front of her had forgotten entirely of her existence. Not that it particularly mattered either way. She was hardly perturbed by his harsh tone, her need for survival brushing away whatever girlish crush that had been inflicted upon her. She gave him a dubious look, choosing not to state her disbelief as she stepped away from the two men. Unfortunately for Serafina, her efforts to get them away from the trouble they found themselves in was hardly done in a quick enough fashion. Before she knew it, the vampire had awakened from his short slumber and taken stock of his surroundings. He lunged towards her date and for a moment the young girl was left watching with fear for her companions welfare.

The last thing she had expected, however, was for Davante to quite literally head butt his opponent. A soft snort left her nose as the vampire fell back against the carpet of the floor, momentarily stunned by the incident almost as much as she figuratively was. She watched the man raise with the smallest hint of a simper upon her feminine lips, clearly amused by his rash decision to save their lives- or in this instance, to buy them the necessary time to do so. She felt his tight grasp upon her upper arm, quite literally dragging her from the establishment. This was certainly not the way she had anticipated her first date ever to go but it considering the circumstances surrounding them, Serafina wasn't going to complain, instead falling mute and carefully picking her way through the fallen items as she let him pull her towards the door.

What Serafina hadn't realized was just how fragile the building had become during their "distraction". The grumble behind her the moment they stepped over the threshold caused the girl to freeze within her steps, wincing ever so slightly at the audible destruction behind her . Miraculously, however, the young witch somehow was entirely unharmed, not a single hair upon her feminine figure touched. Her stormy eyes shifted behind her towards the building that they had just come from, a frown pressed upon her lips and yet, despite her dissatisfaction and the death of what had really been a nice place, a part of Serafina had to admit her amazement at what the man beside her had been able to accomplish. He was certainly quite the powerful witch, more so then she could ever hope to be and slowly her gaze turned towards him, hardly bothering to hide her stare as she found herself attempting to figure him out.

She nodded ever so slowly to his words, willing to take the invitation back to her quiet abode. That was, until the mention of becoming vampire bait. "Do you think he's dead?" She inquired softly, her eyes slowly drifting back towards the pile of rubble. She had heard stories of the things that vampire's could survive and a part of her was unsure that it had been enough. Her desperation for life and complete willingness to do whatever was necessary of her was enough to cause the girl to step in the direction of the rubble, for a moment considering weather or not she wanted to dig the trash to ensure his body had suffered enough damage.
