East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It was clear, in that particular moment, that those old, tattered green slippers were clearly a point of great fondness for the woman. The very look the mention of them brought to her fair features hardly passed unnoticed by the Were-King though he said little more of the woman's choice of footwear, entirely aware of the way her own gaze seemed to linger upon his bare form. That gesture towards the sofa was all Tetradore required before the man practically fell into the piece of furniture. The blanket he was offered was gratefully accepted, the cold caused by the downpour outside had left his skin chilled in a fashion it so rarely was, leaving goosebumps upon his flesh. He pulled that blanket over his form, offering the woman a soft utterance of thanks before that silence befell them. He watched her as she stooped over her fire, poking at the kindle to only further that flame. The very heat was hardly enough to warm him as it did her and yet, he welcomed even the touch of it on his skin all the same. His gaze deviated as the loud thunder crashed overhead, the rain was pouring loudly upon her roof. If he had known the weather would get this bad, Tetradore never would have left the Ark.

His emerald eyes shifted as the woman abruptly stood and turned back towards him. Their eyes met ever so briefly and yet, the suggestion of hot chocolate hardly appealed to him as much as if might have before. The sweetness from the cupcakes still on his tongue. Though Tetradore enjoyed chocolate, there was a point of too much. He could hardly hide that look of incredulousness upon his features and yet, Tetradore found himself giving in if only for her to stop asking. It was, however, coffee the man requested, the heat and caffeine certainly more desired at the present moment. He watched as she pivoted upon her toes, moving towards her kitchen with a clear purpose. His eyebrow rose as he watched her and yet Tetradore merely found himself shaking his head at those goosebumps on her skin. She was the one who was so insistent upon leaving that fireplace. The Were-King's lips pressed together before his gaze fluttered back towards the flickering flames. It was the opening and closing of cabinets that slowly garnered his attention again, the sound of the stove was almost...reassuring. At least some things within the flat were still working. At the very least, the woman's certainty within her movements suggested that she knew how to make a decent cup of coffee.

Tetradore watched as the woman moved out of the kitchen, settling between the fireplace and the sofa. His head bobbed ever so slightly at Taliah's insistence that the coffee wouldn't take long and yet, the Were-King fell back into ready silence - that is, until the young woman inquired after his own life within the metropolis. A small shrug crossed Tetradore's shoulders. "Forever." He responded quite simply. His childhood had been spent just outside of the city within those mountains on the horizon. The rest of his life had been near confined to a simple few thousand feet within the Western side of town. "How have you enjoyed life outside of the city?" Tetradore inquired, almost...curious of how different the world was beyond that bustling metropolis.
