East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Any sort of control over that luminosity that embraced her petite frame had all but thwarted the young woman, despite her best efforts to push down that power gifted to her. The Dark Hunter's mastery was all but awe-inspiring, provoking within her a desire to have some level control, particularly when her life was spent upon the stage and beneath the limelight. A thoughtful sound left the young woman's lips as she contemplated how she might follow within his footsteps. After all, her affinity was hardly useful against targets, not quite in the same fashion that his own was. Her clove colored irises fluttered back towards the man at her side as he spoke with a genuine vulnerability of just how rampant those shadows had once been. How well she understood that feeling - her stress, after all, tended to provoke that luminosity which, in turn, only furthered that mental weight that afflicted her. It was a vicious circle she understood. Her head tilted to the side, shifting those blonde locks as the ballerina listened astutely to the Hunter's suggestion. Her head bobbed at his suggestion as she presented him with a warm simper. "I'll give that a try, merci." She responded and yet, Audette had every intention to do just that. After all, any craft was surely bettered by practice, it was silly, really, that she had never before contemplated giving her luminosity the same steadfast care she did her dancing.

The concerns of her magic, however, hardly lasted long as the girl so playfully insisted she was more than capable of being that terrifying force that the Dark Hunter had so concluded her to be. Her fingers stiffened to form little claws as she roared at the man, the very tone to her soprano voice certainly the least dangerous thing she was certain he had ever heart and yet, the eccentric butterfly was rewarded with precisely what she had sought after - his laughter. Her own musical giggles soon joined him as the young French woman winked in clear playfulness. "I thought you Hunters were supposed to be faster on the uptake." She commented, her accent all too poignant despite those English words. That impishness within her was, perhaps, so atypical of her species as the ballerina only further baited him, prompting a swift and sudden movement from the man. Even so, there was hardly a glimpse of fear within the depths of her warm, cinnamon gaze, her large irises merely glancing up at him with a vague hint of surprise, as if she hadn't quite anticipated the man was as fast as he was truly capable of. Her insistence that his physical capabilities was unfair, however, seemed to strike a chord within him. What light-heartedness she had momentarily mustered (or mustard XD) had all but dissipated beneath that grimness that once again returned to his sharp features.

She was silent as she listened to him, those words stinging with the veracity of his life's mission. A sigh left her lips as her hands reached up, stretching out her petite frame, only for her hands to fold behind her head in a truly lackadaisical fashion. "Désolée, I was not being serious." Audette lamented, even as the man beside her attempted to instill within her some sort of weariness for the rest of the world at large. It was, she was certain, a fruitless endeavor, though she had learned a valuable lesson of the creatures that dwelled in the dark alleyways at night. Audette was certain that not all vampires were quite as prone to nibbling upon her, though she was by large a sheltered girl. Few of the supernatural species, after all, had infiltrated the ranks of the ballet world. She watched as he so suddenly seemed to place that distance between them and slowly, her own arms fell to sway at her side as the pair walked in silence, moving between the glowing halos of the street lights. It was the sudden inquiry of the contents of her duffle bag, however, that shattered the tranquil silence between them and yet, the contents of her bag seemed to only catch the man entirely off guard. Her efforts to explain her own upbringing and life within the ballet school were, perhaps unsurprisingly, lost upon him, prompting a soft sigh to the ballerina's lips. "It is." She conceded, hardly bothering to explain just the importance of that school, much less its significance within her own world.

Audette was all too content to continue on, only to inform the man that one day she would be a Prima - nestled beneath the spotlight of the ballet productions to dance for the whole world to see. That title, however, only seemed to provoke confusion within the man as he inquired about Primadonnas, her head shaking ever so slightly. "No, a Prima donna is in the opera. A Prima Ballerina. She is the lead in the productions. In Paris we call her the 'Danseur Étoile'. Your New York only has twenty and here in Sacrosanct there are only eight." Her head nodded firmly, the topic of her job clearly bringing out her far more talkative nature. "I am going to be the ninth." There was a certain confidence the resonated within her words, the very kind that was absent in so much of the ballerina tonight. Audette's voice tapered off as Adrien abruptly led her into an alleyway, only for the young woman's gaze to settle upon the shadowy figure of a motorcycle. His very approach seemed to cause his shadows to respond, pulling away from the sleek black vehicle. A glimpse of surprise crossed her features and yet, any words she might have voiced were cut off as a helmet was tossed in her direction. She hardly argued the man's desire to ensure she was safe however, as she fit the large helmet upon her head. It certainly looked silly, oversized as it was. His assurances that she looked good however, caused a small grin to cross her petite features as she slowly approached the bike.

Her nervousness, thankfully, hardly seemed noticeable as she reached out to place one hand upon his shoulder, her head shaking within the helmet though, "Not like this one, no." She responded as she tossed a leg over the back of the bike. Her petite figure leaned into his back, her hands wrapping around his waist as her chin settled on his shoulder. Audette was more than aware of how she so invaded his personal space and yet, for safety she supposed it was a necessity. "I'm ready." She informed him as he checked on her, only fur the bike to roar to life beneath them. The very sound surprised her and yet, she said nothing of it as he encouraged the vehicle forward and throughout the city. It was, admittedly, rather exciting to see the world rushing by her. It was thrilling even as they weaved in and out of traffic, her body leaning with his at each turn. She had, admittedly, almost forgotten that she was searching for some resemblance of home - at least, until the sight of a particular building so jogged her memory, causing her to shift as she suddenly pointed down the street beside it. Those directions came far too easily then, a right at that weird street light, left at the flat with the ivy creeping down, another turn at the coffee shop before, suddenly, Audette announced he should stop.

She was almost ecstatic to spy the familiar facade of her own brick building, this one most certainly hers. "This is it!" Audette announced as the ballerina all but bounded off of the bike and onto her toes. She reached up for her helmet, undoing the strap only to reach towards him and plop it right back on his head. A warm grin spread across her features as she eyed her handiwork only for the young woman to rock back upon her heels. "Thank you for bringing me home. I am Audette, by the way." Her hand outstretched, the girl clearly intending to finally see to those introductions - after all, a name was the very least she could give him when the Dark Hunter had done so much for her, as particularly awful as the first half of that night had been.
