East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

"Still here?" How he could relate to that very harsh realization that soon dawns upon him after she uttered those words. That pain, it was tangible, one that he could feel pierce his own guarded heart. How that loss still haunts him even now. How he strived to keep the one remaining family member safe even though she seemed to make it increasingly difficult and refused to live anywhere near Sacrosanct where he could keep a watchful eye on her. That stubbornness that he could see within Miya herself, but that was not was on his mind now as his nutmeg hued eyes consider her a moment, a far more vulnerable side to her that only tugged at that sensation of wanting to protect. He hardly knew her and he wanted to chase back those demons. "So do I.." Was all he said on the matter, hardly allowing his composed self to slip, yet for a flash of a moment, a short-lived sorrow mirroring her own seeped in, just enough that his gaze swept down to the floor. A crack in that prickly façade perhaps.

She joins him in that vibrant laughter, before glossing over her emotion by claiming it was ridiculous. That vibrant blush painted upon her cheeks as she tries to conceal it. "We all have our quirks.." That was as reassuring she was going to get right now in this very moment from the hardened businessman, that vulnerability shut up tight suddenly. Even though he could have informed her how much he loathed being dirty. In fact, being covered in that now drying blood made his very stomach twinge. Reassuring was something the man was hardly his forte, he could barely reassure himself. Yet for her, he defies it all and tries to give her something. "There is nothing wrong with knowing your own limitations."

How short lived that moment was when suddenly that threat leaves her lips. "I can't say I recall the last time someone threatened me. But from you, I welcome it, call it morbid curiosity, Miss Miya." Whatever that may be, he was hardly concerned about it now. Even though she sounded so very confident and full of fire, her cheeks were 10 shades of red, what a defiant creature she was. She even had the audacity to hmph him! He could not remember anyone hmphing at him since his sister, the only creature alive that could get away with such a thing.

He offers her aid to stand so they could wash away the memories of today and get her the medical attention she needed. Maybe she would find it much easier to... relax. He could feel her tension, he couldn't blame her for her hesitation. This was a bizarre situation for anyone on the best of days. But he wasn't going to let her fall. A sigh left her lips, she was struggling with allowing his help and yet she seems to go against all of her emotions anyways to do so. What a curious creature she was. He explained how him and his family did their own wound care, doctors, especially human ones took no pleasure in helping weres. Not that they needed much help with their exceptional speedy healing and their boosted immune system. It was the wounds that posed a problem, the really bad ones, the ones inflicted by hunters. Truth of the matter was even as she explained how her mother nursed her from sickness... being born a were offered certain perks at the very least. He never got sick.. not a day in his life. "She sounds like truly good mother who loved you very much. I bet you didn't fight her like you do me either.." He teased lightly trying to keep that mood from turning dismal, but he couldn't help that rare homesickness he felt within his heart. How much he missed that family, his family. He could sense her questions, questions he was hardly prepared to answer for now, they seem to nearly burst from her. After she was taken care of, so when she kicked him out of this apartment at least she was taken care of. How would she handle finding out what he was? Would he tell her?

They moved with ease into the bathroom, it hardly fit his tall broad muscular figure, the shower would be just enough for what he had planned. How her eyes seemed to stare at him like a thousand questions and flit behind them. She was anxious and the blood that mingled within it made her seem increasingly more like prey. He tries to busy himself to the task at hand, focus on anything but that feeling. The quicker they washed her up and rid her of the blood the better it would be for them both. It was by sheer luck alone that he was not hungry, still being stuffed from the meal before. He does for a moment get distracted by her skin, that looked like touchable silk. He could already imagine how it would feel beneath his finger tips. How quick those once predatory thoughts shifted to desire, a fleeting moment of its beginning of it anyways. He slams shut that door, instilling all that willpower he had honed over the years. She did not need a virile male's lust, she didn't need to be seen as prey. She needed help and he had self-declared it as his own duty to help her, no matter how difficult she made it.

"What do you mean?" he asked when she seemed to shame her body because of his own words. He could never! "I am not talking about your body, I am talking about your wound.. does it hurt still?" His sharp mind could hardly help but focus on those words that said, no one had ever seen her like this before? She couldn't possibly be a virgin, could she? It was none of his damn business, that's what it was. But he was in the business of making everything his business. A rough sigh escapes him, his eyes trailing over that trail of blood. "I should have leant you my phone.." he muttered that guilt welled within him, this human girl despite all her feisty attitude did not deserve this. He was sure of it. He tenderly tucks a strand of blood soaked hair behind her ear, examining more of that wound that keeps up behind her hair. His eyes met hers and she was frozen in place, blushing fiercely and her eyes wider than he had seen on her before.

Miya suddenly blurts out for him to get undressed, a rare chuckle, a potently masculine sound that escapes him as he drew closer to her only to turn the shower on, to get it to a comfortable temperature. He undresses easily, making a neat pile of his clothing on top of the closed toilet seat. Her cheeks are in a fury of red, he could feel her gaze upon him but truly he didn't mind. Even though he teasingly jested that he was shy to make her feel better. He could not recall every being shy a day in his life. "I have a beautiful woman passing judgement on my body.. Is that not reason enough to be shy?" He responds easily, that compliment fell so fluidly slipped from the englishman's lips, those rich confident baritones competing with the steady sound of water running in the shower. Miya began to ramble, admitting this was embarrassing. "This is perfectly fine.. I am here to help you. This will all be over quick and be nothing more than a distant memory.." He could see how she begins to fall apart, he stepped easily toward her then. "You have nothing to be ashamed about. Not a thing. Just focus on the water getting you clean, just feel it.. forget I even exist if you must." How easy it would have been to caress her jaw then, but he respectfully keeps his hands to himself.

They climb into the shower, the temperature perfect, the billowing mist steadily filling that bathroom. The water felt luxurious on his flesh, warmth a welcomed sensation to him. Of course, he was less than impressed with the fabric of his boxers saturating with water. Their proximity seemed almost intimate in that moment, their bodies near brushing against one another as her eyes trail upward to look at him. He looks into those gentle chocolate eyes with a softness, considering for a moment. "You are lucky." He admits delicately, the usual harshness of his voice taking on those more soothing tones for now. "Perhaps, arguably the luckiest woman I have ever met." That grimace of a smile was easy to determine how forced it was. He then questions about her other encounter of being attacked by a vampire, as if to get her busy mind on talking rather than just them. She tells him of this tale, being rescued yet again as that water works to wash away that crimson from her body and his own clean, well clean enough. "Oh Miya.. we must really try and keep you from finding yourself needing to get rescued.." He teased lamely, he was clearly not good at this sort of thing. He drew that pilfered cloth to her skin to help ease the caked blood away, she winces away from it. Surprise found his features then, snapping it away from her skin not wanting to cause her anymore unease. "Oh, would you rather I not?" He paused any more movements, uttering sincerely allowing her to decide what would rather. Perhaps it was too much too quickly.

She questions him about why he helped her and a soft sigh escapes him then as he considers that very question. "I let you go and look at what happened? I should have just offered you my phone.. I am too skeptical of others for my own good... I also promised myself I wouldn't let you..." If only she knew that he had reason to be.. He was about to continue before that dizziness took hold and she stumbles against him, he was ready there, his hands reach out the steady her. Her petite form pressed tightly against their slickened flesh. Exactly what he wanted to avoid, her falling. Her hand pressed against his defined chest to steady herself, that blush once again finding her cheeks. "No need to be sorry.. I have you. I won't let you fall."

She quickly drops her hand, wide-eyed, her question that left her lips makes him laugh. "Not as much as you would think.." A grin bloomed on his lips then.

After the two of them were clean enough, he knew he would have a more thorough shower later. Now was all about her getting treated and on the mend. The rest would follow. Like on cue, he heard the sharp alarming whistle of the kettle capturing his attention before allowing his nutmeg hued gaze to rest upon her once more. " I think we got most of the blood out, was there anything more you wanted to do in here?"
