East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sweet victory! He was finally inside that home he had so desperately wanted to find himself inside. The smell of food tickling the sensitive membranes of his nostrils as his stomach seeming to have a mind of his own, tonight. He makes a b-line right for the kitchen, successfully knocking over at least two of her wooden chairs from that quaint little dining nook she had. It was a cute little place truly, if only he could appreciate it then, everything neat like a pin and terribly organized. The man would have appreciated such a home even though it was a little old and needed some serious TLC, it was distinctly homey. Something the massive polar bear hardly cared about in this moment. His mind exclusively focused on the scent that has him scrounging her apartment.

The kitchen was the first place to raid with his massive curious face leading the way, his body crashing into the chairs, how quickly it was to reduce this place into ruin. This petite home was no place for bear his size, not at all! It was quite possible that he could have sent the house crashing down, the old brittle wooden framing was no match to the strength of this massive creature that raided the poor woman's home. All she could do was watch helplessly as he seeks out a particularly delicious fragrant scent that lures him in, sweets. How in his human form he hardly ever craved sweets, the man was much more a savory type of man, but not now at this very moment and in this form. It was then he found exactly what scent tickled his nostrils, he just needed to reach it... it in turn, sent majority of the contents of that cabinet in a disarray upon the floor. What a mess he was making and that was only apart of it. The bear was driven by instinct, easily looking forward in devouring those tasty morsels. At least until he could.. find them.

Regardless his ransacking, Chizue's presence felt entirely comforting to the bear, she was safe and in that moment she was one of his own. He hardly minded her proximity to him, that was until her gentle exploring fingertips had found a particularly sore and throbbing spot. OUCH! He could hardly help the way he snaps at her, but made no gesture to actually bite, only to release a tortured, pitiful sound. A hybrid between a whine and a growl, no touching! He snorts at her with mild outrage, glad her fingers pulled away so he could return back to his search of that tasty treat that so tormented him. Why this particular snack seemed to call upon him, he hardly knew, the bear was in autopilot now. His mouth somehow was able to snatch that box of treats, his teeth crunching that box as if they threatened to puncture that box entirely! Chizue backed up to allow him to maneuver that tight kitchen with his prize within his massive jaws! How quick he was to forget his wounds from the potential at those delicious treats.

How oblivious that pristine ivory bear was to the damage he was causing within that fragile, small but cozy home. If anything, he seemed almost agitated at those very abrasive noises. Yet for the most part, the bear seemed quite content and quite at home within Chizue's house, how the man within that bears body seemed quite content to forget where he was and what he was doing. This felt so good, even despite everything breaking, the sound of cracking furniture only caused a rumble to leave his chest. It snapped like toothpicks beneath his weight, that floor barely able to handle the hulking form of that massive creature.

The house seemed to shudder and Chizue's fragile voice seemed lost beneath the crumbling. How his mind fully seemed focused on that plastic tray of cookies he had pilfered, how good they smelled even through the plastic and cardboard packaging. It took no effort at all to peel it away to stuff his snout and usher those tasty chocolate cookies in one go, just how seemingly dexterous that snout was in doing so..

The anxiety and worry only seemed intensify from her as the petite woman watched helplessly as her home unintentionally fell apart beneath the bears sprawled out mass. A single nutmeg eye seems to watch her carefully, even though he satisfies that raging hunger deep within his belly. Pulverized cookie crumbs fall from his mouth as he stuffed as many as he could into his waiting mouth, using his paws to steady the packaging. How this seemed like the least of their concerns then. It was then that he heard an unusual sound from the woman.

A sniffle escapes her which seemed to draw the bears wavering attention wholly onto her. What was that sound? An inquisitive look appeared in those now intelligent eyes, something close to understanding seemed to spread across his features as though something more lucid was taking hold again. Whether it was Chizue's glistening tears or the snack he devoured quickly disappearing that that pulled the man from his reverie was unknown. A rumbling coo escapes him then, a surprisingly gentle but thunderous rumbling sound. Are you ok? Those nutmeg eyes seemed to question patiently. The bear soon abandons his package of chocolate morsels to raise to his massive paws, a sharp pain bit through him which causes the bear to swing around his head with a snap of his head, glaring at that spot where the wound was. Ouch..

Thankfully, that pain seemed to dull quickly enough but never truly leaving this time as though the more he moved the deeper that bullet lodged itself in him. But Chizue seemed more important then, his attention seemed to shift back to his host. Each shuddering footfall brings him closer to her before brushing his snout against her chest, trailing it upwards toward those shimmering tears. That surprisingly long searching tongue seems to reach out and taste those tears upon her face, the rumbling cooing sound escaped him once more as if in an attempt to sooth the woman. He chuffs out a hot humid breath against her, sending her hair scattering in every which way. A near pitiful pitched whine escapes him, desperate to cheer up that woman before him for reasons unbeknownst to him. Now if they could only remove that bullet and draw out that man instead of the bear, perhaps they would have more luck.
