East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

kissing death and loosing my breath
It was rare, the moments between the two of them in which Raven was not somehow scolding her for what she viewed Serafina was doing wrong. It was almost as if she had replace one terrible mentor with another. She was hardly perturbed by the firm words voiced by the woman, having hardly been given soft ones to compare them to in the first place. She ignored the woman's comment just as she ignored the thud of the lupine's tail swishing from side to side. She was used enough to the woman's anger that it had become quite the norm. Instead she focused herself on her steps, turning the sign on the front of the door that said closed before she returned to the mess of potions tainting her floor, her thoughts steadfast on what potions would be required to counter act the other in order to clean up the puddles of multicolored substances. She even ignored the answer she was given in regards to the necklace, having learned all too well that Raven was entirely stubborn, unwilling to change her stance and admit that maybe she was wrong, or even worse, maybe she said something that didn't need to be said all together. Briefly, Serafina considered if maybe the wolf had something wrong with her. Like a lack of mental censor or some social ineptitude that kept her from being in any way supportive. The thought, however was quickly shaken from her head as she, in quite the determined fashion, returned to her obsession of cleanliness.

She paused as she passed the wolf, the woman's distressed tone brought a small frown to Serafina's feminine features. She knew all too well that she presently stood upon the brink. There were two choices in front of her, two paths she could take that could drastically shape their evening and yet a part of her hesitated - still quite cross at the woman. The high road was never one that was quite fond to Serafina but, quite frankly, it wasn't one the mongrel ever seemed to take either. One of them had to be decent. "Spit it out if you want to talk about it." She commented, her arms crossing under her bosom as she eyed the female wolf. It was difficult for Serafina to shove those emotions somewhere into the back of her head, to simply choose not to chide the lupine for being present only when it best suited her and yet, some how, she had managed to do just that. "If you want them to be family. You get over whatever the hell is keeping you back and just do it, Raven. Otherwise you clearly don't want them bad enough." It was the only sage advice she had but considering Serafina not only had never had a family but never before had she had someone who had even wanted to be her family....except her mentor perhaps....though in hindsight he didn't really want to be her family either. There was a small scowl upon her face as she turned away from the woman, drifting back into her workshop to call out behind her. "At least you have someone who wants you. You should be grateful for that alone - so go be with them." See. High road. That's right. Serafina was supportive and quite frankly she thought she deserved a fucking trophy.
