East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I only knew her for the yearly slain;
and wept and weep until she comes again

The Hunter felt her skin shifting to mirror the exact image of the fairy that faced both herself and the other female Hunter as a threat. The fae was a threat to the entire population of the train, really, with what he was planning inside that manipulative, deviant, deplorable head of his. Surely the women would be able to stop the vile creature with little effort, though that remained to be seen. Anubis readied herself for any kind of impending attack as the fairy's shock became obvious, riding a tide of emotions visible to anyone on his face. In order to keep up the charade, Anubis allowed her expression to mirror his down to the very twitch of his left eye when he caught onto this behavior, too. The other woman seems to steady herself as well, preparing for the very attack that comes from the fairy man nearly immediately after he whirls around to find himself backed into a corner by the two harmless-looking women who happened to be Hunters, and one of them? Happened to be skilled in an ancient manner that would leave none of his actions surprising or note-worthy. As he focused his attention on the other Hunter, Anubis allowed the woman space to deal with the fae in whichever manner she deemed most worthy, that was... Until the fairy brandished an axe dyed scarlet with the dried blood of what was surely whatever creature he had been going after that had caused both women to become his predators.

She appears not to be caught off guard and therefore she is more prepared than Anubis had intended to give her credit for as the axe makes its perilous way towards the Hunter's body. With little more than a wave of her hands, there is a knife imbedded in the vile fairy's figure, eliciting a roar of displeasure. This sound gives Anubis reason to smirk, although the expression is short lived as the axe finds seats of the train instead of the other Hunter. Lunging towards the fleeing people in order to scare them and hurry them along, Anubis braces herself for impact of the human stampede. When it doesn't come, she is able to turn her attention back to the other Hunter and prepare to aid her in whatever way possible, though it looks like she's doing rather well on her own. Pleased with the training the woman seems to have as her head collides with the fairy's in an attempt to rid herself of his possession. When this works, Anubis launches herself forward as the opportunity presents itself to sling an axe that is an impeccable replica of the scarlet-dyed weapon the fairy possessed directly at him; the weapon finding it's way to slice a deliciously long wound in his shoulder.

"That isn't the way to treat a lady," Anubis hisses, her eyes sparkling with a nefarious gleam as the fairy begins to turn his attention to her instead of the other Hunter. This isn't without sending his blade back at her and even though the woman feels the spite of the metal, she is able to send a knife into the skin of the offending man. "Bravo," Anubis murmurs before feeling the heavy weight of the incredulous oaf blundering his way towards her at a sloth-like pace. With little effort, the woman expels her own set of knives in a group of three directly at the fairy's chest, each knife finding it's way into his skin though it is not enough to stop him. He ascends upon her with his deathly slow pace, slowing even further as the blood begins to appear on his shirt.

"Not so intent now," Anubis says, her form shifting back into that of the Egyptian Goddess she truly is, stunning in all her glory as she lets her eyes roll wild, and cast their gaze to the other hunter, emploring her to take the chance in order to execute the beast while his attention remained on her.
