East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The stars in their orbits

Being pregnant had made opening her business take much longer than it should have and it was a source of frustration more than Nadya cared to admit. However, with the twins born it allowed Nadya to resume her work on the burlesque. It may seem contradictory to say the birth had actually freed her in a way but with the baby bump gone and the irritable pregnancy hormones replaced with the joy hormones from bonding with them it allowed her to move and walk about unhindered. Not to mention the babysitter she had found to help out that was a God send with the extra bonus of being a canceller which eased Nadya's worries of any powers being used around the twins that may harm them...or Tobi attempting to play with them when Nadya wasn't looking. Tobias' affirmed attachment to protect the twins, understanding they are his, assured Nadya he wouldn't harm them on purpose so it was simply that the twins were still so little and could be hurt by accident that worried her. Just a new mother's worry of course.

When the woman entered and requested Nadya's presence for the appointment, one of the workers stopped in his work of polishing the stage and nodded disappearing up a case of stairs by the bar that led up to a run of balcony and into a door. Only minutes later Nadya emerged with the worker and followed him back down to where Lyrica waited. Nadya was dressed casually in black jeans and light blue blouse that she smoothed down lightly having just finished feeding the twins with her hair falling in those gentle waves down her back. Full babies were happy babies and would give Nadya the time to meet with the new woman and probably get some other stuff done too before they woke again. "Thank you Kyle." She smiled to the worker as he returned to the work then turned that smile to the woman, extending a hand in greeting. "Lyrica I presume, I'm glad you could make it. As you can see we're a little behind in opening but should be good to go this Friday night. I could definitely use all the able workers I can get."

Another good thing about post pregnancy was Nadya's uncomfortable and grumpy mood seemed to have vanished. It would seem only natural of course for a woman to be happier without lugging around an extra thirty pounds that was constantly trying to topple you forward. Over the last few days Nadya had gotten the hang of the whole mother caring for the twins thing and her previous friendly personality was coming back with an extra umph. Nadya motioned for Lyrica to follow her, "We can sit here." She indicated one of the small round tables and chairs surrounding it. Nadya seated herself, running a hand through her hair to ensure it wasn't a bloody mess from the less than perfect night's sleep though it hardly phased her kind smiles. "I don't believe you mentioned what position you were looking for when replying to the ad. Are there any skills you have in particular that would be suited to a certain position?"
