East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

The Macedonian man could hardly be described as overly benevolent. Every act within his life was done so with some meticulous purpose. It was true that such intent might have been bred upon superstitions or his rather precious reputation but they were, in the end, done not simply out of sheer kindness. This steed's desire to reclaim that which he had lost fell much under the same scrutiny. Why would -- why should Alexander waste his rather immortal life on assisting Frost find his rather obscure something? His blue-green tinged gaze shifted towards the large ivory steed as the creature abruptly stirred, his heavy foot falls bringing him much closer towards Alexander as if he was some how challenging the hunter. Unfortunately for him, the Macedonian man had been an unmoveable force for two long centuries - long enough that one steed was hardly going to somehow reduce him to scurrying along to fulfil the creature's wants. He had, to some degree, been unwiling to retreat in front of creatures far larger then Frost and far more foreign. He had stood in front of cities that refused to fall and oceans that couldn't be crossed. One horse was surely not enough and in retort the man's eyebrow rose ever so slightly as he eyed the creature before him, his gaze shifting only by the voice of the pony that accompanied him.

Unfortunately for both Frost and his far smaller companion, the offer her had been provided with caused the Dark Hunter to do little more then give them a rather good laugh. "You really don't know anything. Do you Frost? The council knows exactly what it is that I do and they leave me alone plenty as it is. They're not very likely to change that just because I sit and talk nice with your camp." And yet, despite Alexander's clear humor and what that foolish steed thought he could be provided, the Macedonian king still found himself asking after what was so important that might cause even the prideful pony to chose to behave himself for just this once. He watched in silence as the particularly aged talisman tumbled from it's hidden location around the creature's mane. Even he could tell the age of the thing, guessing it hailed from perhaps even the bronze age though he was hardly given more then a glimpse of it. A small frown crossed his features at the description he was given, effortlessly able to make out that there was far more to these coins that his companion was letting on.

A soft sigh left his lips as the steed pressed on, clearly having decided that their conversation had reached an end regardless of whatever Alex happened to feel on the matter. He reached up, his hand running through his blond locks as he hesitated. It would be all too easy to turn and leave this mess all behind him but, as much as he had hated to admit it, he was curious of this....coin. He was inquisitive to see it up close, to study it, it reminded him of the world that had left him behind as many old things often did. Sometimes, he forgot that there were other creatures like him out in the world, ones that had seen years turn into decades and again into centuries. He shook his head ever so slightly, trailing after the equine towards the circle of his kind gathered around a roaring bonfire. He hardly had enough time to react to the cup thrust within his direction, his blue-green eyes eyed the liquid with distrust as he took it within his hands.

Slowly he settled on a log beside's Frost, falling silent as he was thrusted into their world, the names of each of the hunters and their companion being given to him along with any other proper introduction the individual felt fit to speak. The Macedonian man, however, hardly had difficulty keeping up, even if it took particular prompting for him to engage himself in their banter. It was clear this group had spent a significant amount of time together, enough so to be far more comfortable with each other then he was. It was when a feminine voice reached out to him that his attention shifted from his inward contemplations, his blue-green eyes landing upon the woman before she was interrupted quite abruptly. His eyebrows furrowed as his gaze shifted to the man that disentangled itself from the darkness that surrounded them, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly as he realized that, much to his surprise he recognized the man in front of him just as much as the fellow recognized him.

Robin's efforts to dissuade the fellow in front of him were paid no more heed by Alexander then this Xerxes in front of him. "Hello Bessus." Alexander replied, his voice gaining a frigid tone that was otherwise absent up to this point. "Last time I saw you, you were dying....it's a shame you're still alive. I'll have to rectify this." In moments such as these, Alexander cared particularly little for the group that surrounded him and the friendships that he might have had within the group. When Alexander drew his sword, his victims tended to die and, quite thankfully, he had all the time in the world to hunt Xerxes back down should the mood strike him.
