East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She is astutely apprised of his every movement, though her eyes do naught but gaze into the pleasing amber tide of the bourbon she holds, swirling the glass about with some abjectly farcical sense of purpose. She can hear the clenching of his teeth as the muscles of his jaw constrict, tightening in shrouded coils over the slope of a handsomely-chiseled facade; she can feel the agitation, however slight, that he seeks so cunningly to hide beneath the veil of his own practiced and cool decorum. Isolt has spent a great many moments in the company of Damon, and as such she may rightly profess to know him just as absolutely as he claims to know her. It is a deep and enduring bond that will only grow in its strength; and it is for this reason that the dagger of secrets withheld twists so gruesomely into the stillness of her gut. For a time she fails to meet the glances he fixes her with so outrightly for fear of what will meet her in those pools once so brilliant that have been tainted by frustration for the transgression she perpetrates so willfully against him. "It is rather beautiful," she concedes to the pool of alcohol she clasps so desperately within her hands, only daring to lift her eyes to Damon's after a heavily pregnant moment of quietude spent in personal contemplation. Though Isolt tries for confidence, for fortification, in this moment, clutching at it with all of the fervor that one might grasp a handful of escaping sand, her eyes betray her... they tell of the plea for his mercy, for his surrender in this battle to lift the proverbial shroud, and they tell of the apology that could not be brought to her lips.

And, at least for the moment, he seems content to offer it to her, to yield in this miniature battle of wills against two comrades turned adversary as his attentions deviate quite seamlessly unto Davante. Their shared banter is lost upon the demure young redhead who lingers before them, nursing her own beverage in silence for a time until the warlock's curiosities bloom into something all together too strong for either of her gentleman companions to resist indulging. Though the youthful vampire accepts her own blessedly small piece of Damon's creation with characteristic grace, she cannot help the tracings of anticipation that weave themselves throughout the tapestry of her admittedly expressive face. It is no kept secret between the two nightwalkers that Isolt had yet to master the overwhelming challenge that she had found within the notion of palating solid food as she had done in her human life; the task itself having eluded her thus far much to her chagrin.

Nonetheless does she make the attempt, her curiosity piqued by the nearly cloying aroma of blood as it wafts from betwixt the softened layers of crimson confection. The pallor of her eyes shifts momentarily to swipe over Davante's figure, ensuring that he is much too enthralled with his own sliver of heavenly dessert to bother with allowing his eyes to rove over her, the anxiety inherent in feeding in front of any individual aside from Damon surely would have rendered her unable to imbibe the delectable treat he had created for her. Even so the movement to feed herself is swift, the cake melting upon her tongue almost instantaneously to titillate her senses in an obscenely pleasant manner as she looks to Damon then. "It's... wonderful," she cooes, the telltale light of glee as it returns to her flashing splendidly across every braided azure helix, a smile easing beautifully across her face.
