East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Dangerous is the sly predator, the villanous cocktail of intellect and brawn such a decidedly rare amalgamation that even now, Isolt is unsure if the blonde before her truly possesses such a thing or is merely... cocky, his own self-perception basking in the farcical glow of assumed talent. This is not to betray any presumption of his ineptitude, for the young woman had heard tell of the debacle at The Witchery and, though botched, she would not have he and his posse of carnage-starved ruffians turning their greedy eyes to her sanctuary. A tour was, after all, an outwardly simplistic and innocently unassuming request, and surely he had fooled many an honest business owner over the years with the notion that it was naught more than a "short look around". However, Isolt was perhaps more clever than either gentleman present would proffer her credit for. Acquiescing to this particularly weighty request would be to invite an adversary into their most treasured space. He would know the strengths fo the structure, the shortcomings, he would know every room, every hidden corner, every entrance. It would be to invite an attack like the one perpetrated upon The Witchery, to lay themselves out as lambs for the impending slaughter. And, demure though she may have been, Isolt was protective of this place and every person it harbored. If there was any manner in which she might dissaude him of his mission, she would certainly strive for it.

Had she the breath with which to sigh she would have given the response to her polite rebuttal of his initial request. How could there exist so much spite, so much vehement brutality within the heart of a singular individual? What calloused and cruelly striking hands had sown these loathesome seeds? And how could he, this Hunter, presume that she was the savage amongst them merely for her fangs when there was such evidence in support of the contrary? Merely does she allow the accented silence to encompass them, her eyes bearing something that might have been lamentation in their sparkling cerulean depths. They do not falter, nor do they stray from the blonde Hunter even as her companion sets his own razor tongue upon their guest. She would never truly understand this hatred between races, this blatant disregard for the lives of others merely because they were thought to be burdensome.

She would never understand it; however, never still would she accept it.

Her features are soft, her eyes intent upon those of the Hunter, though her mind wanders to the glass cluthched in his hand. Isolt knows what she wishes for, wills that it be so, and so she stretches the proverbial muscles of a relatively new skill upon this unsuspecting intruder. If it is a drink he desires, than what manner of matron would she be were she not to indulge him with the very best... with the strongest. Unseen does the blend of alcoholic fluids in the mixture intensify, strengthening the effects of the libation upon their unintended guest. It is but one of many considerations working its path along the cogs of an astute mind as she turns her attention to Damon for the first time. "Fine," she quips, sauntering off in the direction of the kitchen before returning with a rather generous slice of apple pie perched beautifully upon a plate. Graciously does she set this and utensils before the Hunter, offering him naught more than the twerk of her lip's edge. "It's my grandmother's recipe, you'll find none better. Enjoy." Let him have this, and if he still yearned for a tour than she would oblige... but he would indeed see only what she wished him to.
