East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She'd grown up in Brooklyn, in an apartment building that could miraculously hold her parents, all of her siblings and their spouses and children. All of the apartments had been connected by a set of stairs that wound up the back side and the kitchen where her mother and the other women spent the majority of their time gossiping and cooking enough to feed the Family was almost missed in this moment. Almost. Her eldest brother was in his forties, a hard man who took to beating his son the moment his wife had died to try and 'knock some sense into him,' Dom couldn't count the amount of times she had stepped in front of her nephew and engaged Vittorio in a dueling match. Something she had never told Gae or Raffaele, she knew there would have been blood and they'd be down a brother and Vincenzo and his younger siblings would be orphaned. But the Family looked out for their own and that was also the reason for the ringing in her pocket that she ignored. Instead, choosing to focus her attention on the two Were's in front of her.

Dom watched the woman snatch the bag, but they were unnecessarily interrupted by the young man whom she promptly complimented in a crass sort of way. She was like this, had always been like this, she'd had to get used to talking back and to putting her confidence out there. She knew what it was like to be famous in certain circles, to have her name whispered in hushed whispers as she passed almost as if she were revered. Dom shrugs at Frost's words, "Can't tell for sure until I test it out," She says this with a laugh, fully thinking that she should have been born male and wondered if she just popped out too soon.

The other woman is pushing the pastry back and Dom could only shrug, it was her loss, and when she introduces herself she can't help but smile. The girl was definitely from the South as surely as Dom was Northern bred. She shifts her posture, cocking a hip and folding her arms over her chest, her head tilted to the side a bit as she studied first Carolina and then Frost. "Figured it out have you?" She phrases when he calls her equine, he was partially right but not in the usual sense of the word, "I suppose I could listen," She was fully confident in her ability to take care of herself, her powers allowing her to do far more than the average Were.

Dom studied the body for a living, she was an accomplished tattoo artist as well as a make up artist brought in to do even the most high elite of clients. So she knows that the only other way to judge someone was by the way they were standing, Dom's own position warning others around them to back off. She tugs at the pastry bag and follows after Carolina, not even caring to look both ways before crossing the street, if they hit her than she just sued them...no harm done. "Comin' pretty boy?" She calls over her shoulder to Frost as she enters the Inner Sanctum and follows Carolina to a table.
