East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Birds of a Feather

Flocking Together

My brother loved the attention, this I knew better than anything, and even if I hadn't; it wasn't hard to figure out. I let my violet gaze slide to the delighted raven on my shoulder, and then back to where I was going trying to ignore all the stares we were getting. We would have probably gotten stares anyways, both of us being handsome young models, but this was a bit excessive for an attention grabber. Each step taking us farther from the job we had taken, and deeper into the city. I had been surprised when Dalton, after putting all his clothes into our bag, shifted; why my brother had decided not to walk or fly, I didn't know, or need to know. My brother had his reasons I was sure. All I really needed to fulfill my social needs was Dalton. Dalton on the other hand needed a crowd, friends, and a girl to fulfill his minimum requirement.

We had flourished in our new environment, America was different from Germany to be sure; but in Germany all that was left for us was bad memories and enemies. my brother was definitely the more adaptable of us, living off inheritance from our parents and working as models, the life truly suited Dalton; me, I was ok with it most of the time, but being front and center in public attention gave me an uneasy feeling. However I couldn't really complain compared to some we had it easy; life was comfortable for the most part. but Dalton true to form needed a social group, not that it was a huge problem for me; I personally preferred to do thing at my own pace when it comes to other people. I wasn't always uneasy around others, but after what had happened to our parents and our unkindness; everything changed for me. Dalton on the other hand had brought many people; and that included some ladies, as he always was the charmer.

I was thankful for the fact the city wasn't anywhere near as crowded and it would've been at the end of the week, there would have been more people to stare as I walked through the crowds. My brother cawed in my ear before nipping a bit at it, as I shrugged a bit away. The mind link between us fills with his voice, suggesting we find something to eat. "Fine, what do you want?" I replied in the same manner, German accents heavy on both of our words. we both knew that we had to find a place with outside tables since animals were typically not allow in public buildings here.
