East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The stars in their orbits

and the stars in their orbits shone pale through the lightof the brighter, colder moon

Of all the sights Nadya expected to see, a strange well-dressed woman wasn't one of them. A lost mailman could have even been more likely. But nonetheless there was the blonde occupying one of the stools at the bar. Nadya's hesitation at her presence was mixed; if the woman had been a thief she wouldn't have rung the bell but it didn't mean there couldn't be ulterior motives. That confused was what caused Nadya to pause some distance away with Izzy on her hip. The blonde woman slid from the stool to wander over, her body language nothing short of friendly which put that part to ease.

Nadya's chocolate colored gaze flicked down to the offered hand and name. "Oh..." Her eyebrows twitched up in genuine surprise. Since opening the burlesque she hadn't run any new advertisements for positions since it seemed to trickle in from word of mouth after that. Nadya stepped away from the woman who introduced herself as Carolina over to a pack-n-play that had been set up to place Izzy in it. Izzy made no fuss in being put down and quickly set to work fiddling with the toys within her new play area. Nadya smoothed a hand over her side as she returned to Carolina, shaking her hand with a soft smile, "My name's Nadya Tetradore. I'm not usually here during the day so you caught me at a good time." Trying to deal with unexpected job prospects during business hours could be straining in the least especially if she had planned to have a number of her own on stage too.

Nadya withdrew her hand, leaning her hip slightly against the table at her side, taping her fingers in thought on the wood surface. Since she hadn't been actively looking for another hire it was a bit of on-the-spot debate on where to put Carolina. Her dancers were getting along well and having to introduce another always took more thought. No matter the species, women were women and could be very catty and they were still handling the recently turned fearie in their midst. Nadya was not about to upset the balance even more. "If you can really handle bartending then I guess I can use you there. I had my last one disappear and have been using a temp agency ever since. The only rule of course is not drinking on the job; customers like to buy the women bartenders drinks and I can't have a drunk bartender." Nadya's delicate fingers came up to tuck a stray lock of hair from her messy bun behind her ear, looking and waiting expectantly from Carolina for her acceptance or refusal of the offer.
