East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

That Tetradore would be willing to come tonight to the costumed party seemed peculiar, because thanks to one of her powers, she had detected a weakness she assumed he hid quite well. Blue-grey eyes flicked away from her drink and towards the hostess as a tentative small smile appeared on her clawed facade. Her fidgeting ceased the moment Tetradore had slid up to her and Isolt, there was no need to feel as anxious as she did, he was Alpha and pack mentality assured her everything would be okay. As he spoke she subtlety flagged down the busy bartender giving a sideways look to her drink and another one towards the sharply dressed Were-Panther. Looking up at Isolt she nodded her head once in agreement with Tetradore's opinion before speaking brightly on their small group's behalf.

"We wouldn't miss it Isolt, thank you for inviting us."

It was the sudden movement to her right that caught her attention. One of the female bartenders placed one of the intricate designed lowball glass near her. Out of kindness and sympathy for her Alpha, due to his strong dislike of crowds, did she order the drink in the first place. Grabbing the glass filled with that amber liquid she turned halfway in her chair in his direction before she felt a gentle tug from the back of her cloak. Perplexed at the reason why she felt the tug behind her she turned around finding her spotted companion in his typical partial shift fashion with an abundant amount of golden jewelry laced everywhere. His mention of being attacked from a stick made her eyebrows furrow in puzzlement as she wondered what the true object he meant was. His wrong assumption of her wearing a cape was answered with a small simper and a shake of her head. Gently she explains why Tobias is wrong as she attempts to hand the whiskey glass to her Alpha.

"No it is a cloak, I'm dressed as a character, but you do indeed have a lot of swa-"

Suddenly she stopped talking as her eyes widen in shock. Frost's ability to seep ice and have it travel up the back of her spine sent her entire body and mind into a sudden shudder. Her hold on the whiskey glass was completely gone as the sound of the glass shattered as it fell to the hard floor. To feel Frost's ice cold ability on her quickly caused the tormented girl to begin to fall back into her reclusive state. Instantly she lowered her head as her slate eyes quickly scanned the room in a panic nature. The moment her eyes caught the familiar figure of the Were-Horse caused her to shrink backwards attempting to make herself smaller as she shifted her form slightly to hide behind Tetradore. To know that Frost could still touch her, could still harm her even when she was surrounded by friends and pack, was a devastating realization that slowly began to dismantle her sense of security. Muttering an apology to Tetradore for dropping his drink and to Isolt for breaking one of the glasses within her establishment she turned around and stared at the hard-wooden bar top. One hand shot out and clutched her own glass of whiskey tightly as she downed the entire content, allowing the warm liquid to burn her throat and provide her a momentarily relief from feeling the cold touch of ice down her spine. With her drink finished she gently placed the empty glass down as she muttered her sudden out of character reaction.

"Frost is here and I think I need a stronger drink."

Her hope to have some fun for one night seemed to have fluttered away.
