East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

&& make me feel alive again

Who would have thought I'd be wrapped in the arms of a hunter? Though he may spend most of his time behind the counter of a coffee shop now, I can still see the grace of a hunter in his every stride. And yet he seems affected by me and I'm puzzled by the mere thought of him thinking of me as anything more than a scared were girl in need of a job. I never thought he would look at me the way he's looking at me now or that he would touch me in any way like his hands are roving their magic over me right now. Just his breath on my cheek is enough to set me squirming, suddenly super aware of parts of my body I'd never had the chance of exploring. And all this because of him.

I feel so awkard after admitting what I'm really thinking, what I really want. I never thought I'd be open to touch again, let alone the way I suddenly want him to touch me. But I know I do with every fiber in my being and it scares the hell out of me. As he moves toward the door, I let out my breath, figuring this is it and he's about to leave. But as he flips the sign, I look at him in a whole new way, my lips twitching almost with humor as he comes back to me. I look into his gaze, wondering what he's thinking for the hundredth time as he reaches for me. The moment his hand cups my chin to lift my face, I feel my skin crawling again. My gaze locks onto his, helpless to look away even if I wanted to but his lips drop to my skin, I feel myself tense, but this time with a pleasure I've never known before.

His feather light kisses are enough to drive me crazy, a long exhale leaving my lips as my skin catches fire beneath the brush of his lips. The words he whispers could have been gibberish for all I know but I would have accepted either way. I try to nod, my head giving little jerks as I cling to his hand, ready for him to lead the way. My eyes are lit with a fire like no other, my lips aching for his, my body growing more and more urgent for his hands anywhere and everywhere. I don't know what this is but I don't want to stop. Not now, not ever.
