East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The snowy haired man simply waits, leaning easily against the polished surface of the bar, allowing the vampire to look over the drawing he had provided before offering the chain around his own neck, if only to better provide Dareios with an example of what exactly it was he was looking for. The vampire's sudden declaration of 'the feline' however sees a momentary look of surprise pass the younger man's features, concealed though it remained beneath that mop of unruly hair. Dareios' response however, was decidedly vague and seemingly deliberately so, the man evidently unwilling to pass with information of that nature with a stranger. Hmm, perhaps he had misjudged Dareios to a certain extent, the vampire decidedly shrewder then he appeared and yet for now he remains unwilling to dwell upon such thoughts as what little of his violet gaze can be seen continues to linger upon the well-dressed man before he speaks at last in those same frosted tones, his words clipped slightly in some mild taint of agitation.

"Are you saying you've seen it, or that you have it?"

It was unlikely, he suspected, that Dareios held such a thing in his possession at this very moment, much less truly understood what it was if he did and yet it was merely easier to allow Dareios to hunt for a seemingly old and yet meaningless amulet that allow the man any knowledge of the truth of it. The vampires question is met with a simple, non-committal shrug of his own shoulders, if this was the game Dareios wanted to play then so be it. He is entirely assured the vampire will lose despite his own air of confidence.

"Do you frequently ask for reasons from your other clients? I don't see why it matters to you."

Why should it? It was none of Dareios' concern what he desired it for, his words polite enough in their refusal to explain, fingers drumming softly against the polished surface of the bar once more as his companion continued. The vampires mention of demanding payment upfront drawing a snort from the stallion now.

"For me you require payment up front? Are you implying I'm untrustworthy?"

One eye simply lifts, if only slightly, a muted chuckle humming within his chest as if he already well knows the answer to his own question, hardly anticipating a response from the other man in that moment before he fixates his gaze upon him once more.

"Before I let you know what else I'm looking for- how costly are we talking for just this amulet, Dareios?"

It would be far easier to have the man state a price before he could begin to see how much he could deal him down from it.
