East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Samantha Cassidy

It was the unusual sensation of emotion coming off of her companion that brought her attention fully back to him. It was odd to feel anything strong off of the panther, but the sense of protectiveness that wafted towards her caused her to look at him with a gentle expression on her features. It was such a gentle gesture of his fondness for her, and Samantha couldn't help but relax both from his emotions and from his words. "I know," She said, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear and reaching to grab the remaining cookie on the plate. She broke off small pieces to put in her mouth, content to settle back in her chair and listen to him speak. "There isn't a monarchy around here," She said with a small shrug, surprised she knew the proper word for the group of faeries. "I know that there are good faeries out there. I do know that. But right now I haven't..." She shook her head, unsure of how to explain to him that she had yet to cease having nightmares about her week in captivity, or how she saw those girls' faces everywhere she went. How his ability had made her see them? "If there was a monarchy, maybe I'd consider it. But for now," She gave a shrug. "I suppose I shall be the lone wolf?" She chuckled a little, putting another piece of her cookie in her mouth.

Sam was glad when he didn't pull away from her touch, instead she got the wave of that same shock that she was touching him. Though she didn't ask, she couldn't help but wonder how often the man in front of her was touched in a loving way. She wanted to keep touching him, to show him just how fond of him she was. It was silly, she knew. They hardly knew each other. And yet... And yet Sam was remarkably drawn to him. It was those thoughts that had caused the words about needing limits and answers from her lips. It was a remarkably human thing to ask for, and she shouldn't have been surprised when she got a completely unhuman response. She felt the confusion the boy had, and Sam lifted her gaze to him with a wave of nervousness she didn't even know that she could feel around him. "You know... expectations... what are we..." She trailed off, watching his confusion at the entire situation. It made a wave of nerves erupt in her stomach watching him. At least... until he mentioned the word mate.

It caused a small giggle to escape her lips as she shook her head, though she didn't speak, instead allowing him to continue his thoughts. If it wasn't for her ability to read his emotions, she was positive that she would have taken his words and movements as a complete rejection to the idea. But she'd watched him. She'd felt what he felt. He was not uninterested in her, quite the opposite, but yet she still smiled like a teenager when he admitted he liked her too. "Aiden," She said when he trailed off on his own. Her body leaned forward, though she kept her hands to herself. "I don't know much about Weres, but I can guess being your... mate... would mean something pretty significant. I'm not exactly asking for that," She shook her head, giving him a smile to mean that she wasn't upset by any means. "I was thinking more the term 'girlfriend', myself. You know, go on dates, spend time together, make out..." She grinned at the end, watching him closely. "Take it slow? But... exclusive, I suppose. I suppose that's what I'm looking for. The opportunity to further get to know you and explore my feelings for you while being..." She shrugged. "Well, yours, Aiden."
