East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sebastian EllingtonI need to feel you again, feel my lips on your skin
for one night I could be him, no, I could be better

The vampire could all too distinctly hear the beat of the man's heart - pumping blood through every facet of his system at a rapider pace than normal and yet, it hardly called to him in the same fashion that it had their first meeting. His hunger had been satisfied for the time being and yet, despite all odds, Sebastian still found himself entirely wanting to linger upon the park bench with the Fae that had so invaded his thoughts of late. The vampire's gaze remained steadfast upon the man, watching that look of astonishment that lingered upon his features. For a moment, Sebastian found himself reaching out to the fairy before his fingertips stopped just shy of making contact. There were reasons he didn't often revisit his victims - often time the magic lasted only one night before they came to their senses. Darien, however, seemed entirely different. He watched as the man quite literally abandoned everything within his hands - from the bottle of liquor to the brown paper bag within his lap.

He felt Darien's fingertips embrace his own and gingerly the man's other hand settled on top of Darien's as if somehow the physical contact alone somehow helped to ease his quite visible concern. A small simper appeared upon the man's features at the choke within Darien's vocal cords. It was peculiar for Sebastian, that someone would distraught about his disappearance. Never before had someone been so taken with him. At least, not without his own assistance. The vampire nodded ever so slightly, "It's me, I promise." He responded softly, scooting closer towards Darien as the fae pulled his hand against his cheek. He'd forgotten the way that Darien could surely feel his own apprehension and concern, just as he too forgot of Darien's ability to take that very emotion from him. After all, there had been many a man and woman that had flittered in and swiftly back out of his life since his eventful evening with the fae.

"I promised you I would see you again." Sebastian responded, his English accent surprisingly lacking of those usual husky tones of need. This was a surprisingly rare moment for the vampire - when he beast within him was calm, leaving nothing but the Victorian man at the surface. Slowly, he placed his hands back within his lap, his gaze following Darien's every action in a studious fashion. He noted exactly how much liquor that had been consumed, he noted the tear that had fallen from Darien's gaze (though this was regarded in an entirely intrigued fashion), just as he too was all too aware of the cut upon the fairy's cheek. That simper, however, quickly diminished as Darien begun to speak of his own experience in their time apart. He could only guess by description alone that Darien had encountered a hunter - and lived to tell the tale. That alone was a rarity though Sebastian's own recent run in had ended with far less scratches.

"Would you like me to help with those?" He inquired, his head tilting to the side and yet his gaze never once left Darien's face. It wasn't often that Sebastian offered to assist in the mending of other species. In fact, he'd only done it once before in the nearly two hundred years he'd been alive. It had taken him quite a while to realize that his own blood had some kind of magical properties when consumed and even then the action had happened quite on accident. Still, for some reason, it felt....right to offer Darien such a gift. There was something about seeing the fairy in pain that was quite distressing to the vampire. A weak simper crossed Sebastian's features as Darien suddenly leaned closer, promising the vampire that whomever the fairy had met hardly held a candle to their own previous encounter. However, considering how terribly their first evening had went, Sebastian wasn't quite sure it was a compliment. Nevertheless, the man hardly spoke a word, instead taking the offered bottle and accompanied handkerchief to instead take a hearty gulp of the contents. He felt the fire in his belly as the liquor stung in the back of his throat and yet, Sebastian hardly complained.

The vampire was in the middle of placing the handkerchief back into his pocket when he felt the embrace of Darien's arms around him. He glanced upwards, his eyes falling down towards the fae as the man suddenly leaned against his chest, his head resting nearly against Sebastian's shoulders. There was a certain softness that invaded Sebastian's azure gaze as he glanced down at the man. His breath was hot against Sebastian's ear, the words echoing once again within his mind. Tenderly, Sebastian reached around, embracing the fellow to pull him closer. "It's okay, Darien. It's all okay." He whispered back reassuringly, entirely ignoring any looks they might have received from any passerbyers.
