He could see in the smirk on her lips that she recognized him and he was very intrigued with this child who seemed to have so many more years under her belt than him. He had never met a child vampire in all his decades but he had heard stories of their terror. So far he knew that she loved to play with her food and she very much had the mind of a child but he was sure she had more power than a lot of them because of her true age. He wanted to know what she could do but it was rude to come out and ask. He wanted to be shown. Maybe if he stuck around long enough, he could see her enact some torture on a human or two. It had been a while since he'd had anyone to be his partner in crime. Davante was off doing whatever it was Davante does so in the meantime he was quite bored. He needed to blow off some steam while hunting these stupid witches who wanted his bride to be.

He watched her smirk grow at his comment about games and he knew he'd struck a chord. As he moved closer to the door, he saw the subtle shift in her body and slowed. He wanted to see what she could do but he wasn't too willing to be a participant. He wanted her as an ally, at least until she proved to be an enemy. He knew she was blocking him and he stopped, respecting what was hers, at least for now. She wasn't feeling overly aggressive about it though which either meant she had already eaten well or she was just in a cheery mood for some reason tonight. Either way, he'd take the warning. He tilted his head as she complained about the puny human in the office, his eyes glowing with a new light when she mentioned a vampire that tried to eat her. Could she possibly mean the young vampire he'd run into outside his bar not too long ago? Ah, so there was a bargain to be made after all. He liked holding chips and so far, it seemed he had a few.

He could see the frustration in her eyes as she said the human wouldn't pick a game and he scowled at the door as if thoughtful. Then she asked if he wanted to pick the game and he answered with a smirk, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

"Oh, I'd be delighted."

He turned toward the door.

"Oh, yoo hoo! I hear you're not being a very good host for a hotel manager. You really should brush up on your hosting skills. When someone asks you to pick a game, you're supposed to pick a game. So I'm going to narrow it down for you. We could play....hide and seek..."

He grinned and the lights flickered in the hotel, playing with him for a second as they sparked and hissed, the hotel falling into darkness for a few seconds, just enough for him to hear the audible gasp of the man inside the office before he made them flick back on. He glanced at Anna before continuing.

"...or tic-tac-toe. Hell, we could even play charades! Of course, most of those would be easier if you came on out here. What do you say, hm?"

He listened for an answer before sighing in disappointment, his gaze averting.

"How about for every minute you decide to be a rude host, you lose a finger. Sound fair? I'll even give you a handicap. Minute one!"

And as he said it, his hand twitched, making it like an invisible razor blade slicing across the man's index finger, though only to cut off the first joint. He said a handicap, after all. He waited for the triumphant sound of that blood curdling scream before he turned his gaze to Anna.

"The countdown begins, my friend."
