North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

North

Social events had been his thing once before but seldom since he had moved. The city was large, the people new and unusual and honestly, some part of him was frightened by the prospect of too great a change. He had gone his whole life experiencing so much, he grasped desperately on the things he could at least avoid changing: relationships, status, available time throughout the week - all the things that risked change through, well, socializing. Petty, perhaps, but how long such a thing could last was debatable. Already, he'd slipped up. He had dared to venture into the Voodoo Room, dared to order himself a gin and tonic. Had something in him already managed to change since he had come to this place?

He'd deny that, vehemently perhaps. He hadn't ever used his so-called 'given gift' since arriving, preferring to feel at least a little normal for some time. Still, his blood glistened with the faintest of silver, an unavoidable indication that change could not be revoked. He had to sigh in defeat over that, washing down the last mouthful of antidote as he looked over the coming crowd. He'd emerged but it seemed his timing was off, the warm buzz of alcohol making his stomach twist in nervousness as a rowdier crowd began to show themselves. He had felt another presence in there much like his own, perhaps, a flicker of power that caught his attention as he ambled towards the bar, hailing the tender once more as he side eyed the crowd. Where had they gone? Another gin and tonic, perhaps, would help his curiosity.

Unsurprisingly, it didn't and he found himself still curious as he sifted through the few faces. Then, he happened upon the woman by the window. He watched her for a moment, swaying in indecision as he lingered by the bar before he just... went with it. How strange, really, and yet she had captured his curiosity with that flicker of power. He hadn't stumbled upon another of his... kind, he supposed you'd call them, since moving to the city. Why not start now? After all, liquid confidence was relatively cheap, no?

He approached with an earnest smile, motioning to the seat opposite to her with his palm extended. "Care for some company?" He waited a moment, seemingly holding his breath in anticipation before he continued, trying his hardest to appear as the non-threat that he was. "You seem bored is all."
