Gideon's chuckle readily seemed to fascinate the leopard boy. The sound of it was...different. Tobias, after all, was not a creature inclined to laughter. Any attempts the boy made had a habit of sounding akin to hissing. Tobias, more of than then not, tending to stop laughing halfway through and quote before he should have. Such a habit making those around him....nervous. Else inclining them to stare at him curiously. Tobias, by that notion, rarely bothered to mimic that laughing sound and yet Gideon's was unusual. The young Were's lips parted, that chuckle rising within his throat abruptly, that sound a near perfect mimic of Gideon's laugh. One that fell silent as abruptly as it started. Tobias, it seemed, was merely content to test the sound before seemingly losing interest. It was Gideon's insistence that, if he had the power, he would fix his eyes that seemed to draw Tobias' focus then.

"You should ask.....a witch.....or a.....fancy fae."

Just what a 'fancy fae' was remained to be seen. Tobias, clearly, intending to offer no further explanation. The boy equally assured that a witch might be able to restore Gideon's sight in turn. If he asked one. Gideon's announcement of his name only furthered that frown on Tobias' features. His name was unusual. It was not the sort of name Tobias had heard before. The man's accent was equally obscure.

"Gi....Gi....Gideon."

Those words were a clear struggle. Tobias' gaze shifted back toward the fea beneath him, as if seeking to assure himself he had gotten that word right.

"Why do....you talk...funny?"

Such a question was, perhaps rather....hypocritical, considering Tobias' own lack of ability with his words and yet accents as thick as Gideon's own were a rare and unusual thing. Gideon was quick to agree to his age. The Fae insisted he was from the true medieval ages. From a time when Kings and Queens and thrones existed.

"We have....Kings. Tetra is....a king in.....the West. He is my.....Alpha."

Tobias nodded firmly. The boy failed to understand that, perhaps, Tetradore's 'king' status was not quite the same as what Gideon had meant and yet a King was a King all the same, weren't they? The Fae's discussion of his job only seemed to intrigue the deviant boy all the more.

"Vampires will....kill you because....you are Fae. Lots of....vampires in....this city. Yes. What is....your job?"
