Tonight she was ready to have the time to herself. Already there was a plate of raw meat and fish for Tobi to devour sitting on the kitchen table within the warehouse. Earlier that day she had spent time with Alexis teaching her whatever new thing the poor girl didn't know about the world around her. Quite content to be at her side. They both did not belong to a pack, but they at least had one another. Without needing to vocalize their past they seemed to quietly understand one another. Long ago she felt nothing but sadness when she thought of the pack she had decimated one night. Perhaps it was the abuse, the anger and pain unable to be locked away as that feral mind of hers decided to come out and unleash whether unknown wrath she had inside of her. Even though she didn't mind the woman's company as a loner she needed to have a moment of peace for herself. Running through the outskirts or the warehouse she was sure she would be bothered by others, but tonight she assumed that it would be okay to drown herself in spirits. If only so the haunted ghosts of her past wouldn't make an appearance tonight while she wandered the streets alone. It was a bit odd wearing clothes that fit her well. Who knew a loose long skirt could be so comfortable? She was sure Nadya would be gloating right about now if she saw her wearing the long flowing black skirt and dark emerald blouse the feline had tossed her way while they did their shopping spree with Alexis. Sadly the attire for the Voodoo Room needed to be a bit more upscale than she would like, but she knew she wouldn't be bothered by anyone she knew if she went to that particular establishment, so this particular attire was needed.

Pushing the heavy wooden doors the well-mannered woman slinked quietly through the crowded foyer of the Voodoo Room. If there was one thing she liked about loud and boisterous places was that she could slink her way through without ever being noticed. Everyone would seem much more enthralled with their own entertainment, especially with alcohol playing a factor. As she skulked her way towards the darkest corner of the bar she would slide easily into the stool, finding an old ragged book sliding in front of her. Slate eyes met the dark-brown hues of the male bartender she had come to tolerate. With her frequent visits to this particular establishment she had built up a strong rapport with most of those employed, and so her book would be behind the bar. After all for such a quiet guest she could run up a tab and with it came a generous tip, so really, she was a little bit of a special regular. With a tumbler set in front of her, a kind ghost of a smile was thrown to the bartender once more as he filled it to the rim with that familiar honey-brown liquid. Just the scent of the strong alcohol made her throat twinge with excitement, ready to feel the burning sensation. Bringing the glass to her lips, tossing her had back, the golden-brown curls cascading down her shoulders as the strong whisky traveled down her throat leaving a fiery numbness in its wake. Setting the glass gently down she opened her book, returning to where she left off the last time, enjoying a rare moment to herself.

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
