North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

Hey, if Serafina was searching for someone to accept as a person without needing to know all the hidden details, well, look no further! for tonight anyway, look no further. Blake was one of those people that would end up accepting near about anyone and then, as he got to know them, begin weighing their worth. However, she already had several strong baskets in her corner on the "HEY LET'S KEEP AROUND YES" manner of things, such as she was a beautiful woman that was turning out to be very charming. What can he say, it's not often the opening line is someone pulling a Gambit. Yes, okay, fine, he was a little hung up on the damn card attack. No one can judge him!

"Didn't mean to offend." He put his hands up in surrender, the firm tone not going unnoticed, but his grin remained planted firmly on his face in amusement as she began launching into her defense. Blake didn't know much about cooking, even less about spices or their quantities, and what he did know came mostly from his grandparents down in the south. Essentially that equated to 'When in doubt, add more butter/salt/pepper'. Majoram? Not a damn clue what that was except, hey, didn't he see it in the grocery store? Maybe. Now, had she mentioned something car-ful, he could have debated it. Spice plant thing? Beats the shit out of him. However, that pause, something didn't quite seem all that right but he wasn't to look a gift horse in the mouth. "No, I didn't mean to sound ungrateful. I mean, thank you for the offer, I just- I don't want to put you out of your way or anything. He attempted to explain but felt like he wasn't do much to help his position. He slipped the vial into his pocket, mentally making note he would have to be careful not to let it drop out by accident or anything.

"Oh? Man, I didn't know about that. You think with a festival it would be hard not to notice." As he spoke, Blake stood up, checking his person to make sure he had everything he brought with him. Wallet? Keys? Phone? Everything in place. "Hell yeah! You need to close a tab or anything? Hey- Think they have funnel cake? I'd kill for some fried diabetes.
