Well, it is refreshing to say the least to know I can still manage that effect, the slight hitch to her breathing hardly missed as I moved to lead her across the dance floor in perhaps the single skill I do possess outside the bedroom and yet really, dancing is so very much the same, it merely includes clothing. Maybe that was why I had actually bothered to learn how to do it and really, I was hardly opposed to having such a lovely women so entirely close to myself, enjoying every touch of her form against my own, no matter how very slight it may be. The sound of something, somewhere behind us, briefly managed to attract my attention, the blue gold of my gaze narrowing slightly at what appeared to be an irate curly-haired woman I remembered from the dumpster incident storming towards that Azrael fellow, an equally irate man whom may very well have been some sort of albino trailing behind her. Honestly I held some vague hope that this wasn't about to turn into another argument. Not because I doubt for my own safety, in fact, I am entirely sure I can get from here to the door in barely a few seconds without even having to run- what I doubt's is Kat's ability to not get involved and honestly I am....tired of dealing with that. I don't like the idea of her running around after all manner of supernatural creatures, maybe I don't...own her exactly and in truth she could do as she pleases regardless and yet the idea hardly thrills me. Even if she isn't wholly interested in being something more then, well, a one night stand I would dearly love to make into two nights then fine, I suppose, but it doesn't mean I don't care.

That however, still hardly meant I wasn't going to keep her attention firmly on myself. Alright, maybe I am a little mean, but really I am entirely assured she can handle it and I think it's about time we made it home without anyone drawing blood, now don't you? I chuckled softly at the intake of her breath, fingers merely grazing against her thigh in those moments, my own ability rather adapt at recognising when someone desires....something. I saw no need to inform her of that however, merely content to continue this dance we had found ourselves within, her whispered words spoken in such a manner that I was entirely sure she knew my threat to find the others was hardly empty. Knives really aren't my thing and yet I do distinctly maintain the memory of a bottle of vodka and a knife Kat had once used to make me rethink my entire opinion of pointed objects- so much so that I woke up the next day with a headache that led me to believe I may well have been stabbed by one. It was her biting on her lip however that very near undid me then and there, I have no idea where she developed that habit and it is easily one of her more alluring gestures- my desire to bite her lip for myself not something nearly so easy to quell and yet....sadly...I seem capable of maintaining my evidently overpowering need to be- gentlemanly. Well- almost....

Of all the things she could have whispered in those few moments I am entirely sure that may well have been one of the better ones, my own features frowning slightly, genuinely surprised by it and yet, fortunately, not nearly so surprised not to act on it, gently allowing my own motion to stop as the music ended and the curly-haired women was thrown into a wall, Azrael beginning to look rapidly more agitated. I think this may well be a rather exceptional time to leave. My hand moved easily to take her own, having long ago merely decided this was a gesture she was simply going to have to tolerate- moving to lead her smoothly from the dance floor and towards the doors before she could become distracted by any ridiculous need to start joining Azrael in his attempt to portray a scene from the movie Die Hard. I moved easily to push the door open, stepping out and into the cool air once more, one had lifting to run though the golden brown of my hair despite the fact it merely fell into my gaze once more, sunglasses easily flicked back into place as I gestured towards the back.

"I think it's time we went home, your place or mine, hmm?"

Oh how many times have I asked that very question? Although rarely have I ever truly cared about the answer so very little, I am entirely assured she could have said she wanted to go to Tokyo and I would have been half inclined to take her, lip quirking upward in an easy grin all the same.

"I do warn you though, if we get home and what we do is not nearly as satisfying as that dance....."
I merely let the words trail off, one eye lifting beneath the lens of my glasses in an entirely unspoken promise of retribution.
