kissing death and loosing my breath
Serafina had come to enjoy the company of the older, blond witch and to some extent, she suspected that maybe the wealthy, sophisticated woman felt the same way. She had taken to dining with Rowen at least once every month, taking the time to catch up on her life and business and sharing her own ridiculous share of stories when she felt it necessary. By nature they were both private people which perhaps benefited them and their blossoming friendship. Neither pried, instead taking joy in extravagant food and wine, magic and a bit of unadulterated mischievousness. Tonight was supposed to another of such evenings though Serafina was arguably late, no thanks to the wolf that had become her occasional companion since her discovery that her so called boyfriend fucked another animal. Serafina frankly cared not for Raven's social life, relationship problems or pending "family". After all the wolf had proven to her that they were vastly more important their their relationship was witch and familiar. Then again, it wasn't as if Serafina had other pople to fret over to be so choosy on her relationships.

The young witch slid down the alleyway of the hotel, having become quite familiar with the labyrinth. She paused just long enough to open a door at the back of the building with the word 'staff' painted on it in large letters. It was one of the few other entrances Rowena had in the case of an emergency. What Serafina hadn't accounted for, however, was the offsetting stillness the moment she stepped into the otherwise cozy abode. Her head cocked to the side ever so slightly, straining to hear much of....any thing really. A small frown marred her feminine features as she slowly made her way down the hallway, her eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly. Serafina paused in the entry way of Rowena's office, her grey tinged gaze sweeping the room. She noted a woman in the corner, sobbing in an out of control fashion. "What happened?" Serafina demanded, looking down at the woman with indifference. The woman raised her hand, pointing towards the foyer as two shaky words left her lips "Dark Hunters". A frown traced it's way across her sweet heart lips as Serafina turned, stepping out of the office, her gaze tracing the hallway. In truth she doubted that Rowena would need her assistance in this matter. After all, the woman had prove on a prior occasion that she was more then capable of dealing with their kind entirely upon her own. Still, Serafina couldn't help the desire to want to help, or atleast ensure the witch got out of whatever stick situation had arrived upon her door step. After all, they had to stick together, right?

Serafina made her way through the hotel and towards the foyer. She heard the smash of glass upon the ground. It was a tinkling sound that the young witch knew by heart, the breaking of potion vial against the ground. Her pace sped up ever so slightly as Serafina reached into the bag that was always held against her shoulder, pulling out her own assortment of vials. She headed towards the door, her fingertips touching the door knob only to find that it turned without her force. Her mouth parted ever so sightly as the door opened and Serafina was left staring at one of the 'Dark Hunters'. Her gaze momentarily danced past them and into the dark hazed room. It seemed as if Rowena had started the fight without her, how fitting that she should come in late.
