He enjoys the way her features seem to heat at the words he offers, the flush to her cheeks felt though his own command over such a power, faint tendrils of that warmth almost palpable to himself though he offers no true response to such a thing other than the barest grace of a smirk across his lips at the delicate girls reaction. Perhaps she had never truly had a man offer her such attentions, perhaps she was innocent in more ways then one and yet for now the man simply turns his thoughts from such things to focus instead upon her own. The images that dance within her mind are difficult to grasp, an art he is yet to master and one that will require sufficiently more practice then this moment will allow and yet he seize upon it still. Another horse? An older horse, one that seemed to enjoy the very same treats he himself favoured- his habits seeming to have reminded the woman of a beloved pet from her past. Hmm. It was not wholly objectionable he supposed. At least she had looked upon the creature with fondness. His fancy for such treats is perhaps the single more animalistic urge he has not truly managed to conquer and as such her mental comparison to her childhood steed is not entirely unwelcome by comparison.

The rest of her thoughts become a jumble afterwards, a tangle of thoughts and emotions he cannot seem to seize upon no matter how hard he tries, the faintest taint of frustration touching his youthful features before he dismisses them entirely. It would take concentration, practice and yet in time he was assured he would master it as he mastered all things. The young man hardly lacking in will power, the creature capable of being entirely stubborn and rigid in his determination when he chose despite the quiet nature he seemed to portray. Indeed- he suspected this female may well be the same despite the innocent image she offered. It was so often the ones that seemed the most breakable that turned out to be the most steadfast in their resolve and belief. Such creatures made powerful allies, such creatures were valuable and perhaps after he has properly assessed her more physical strengths and powers he could deem, truly, what value she may hold to himself other than a mere acquaintance or source of amusement to pass the time. She was a pretty thing, at least, his eyes (or what could be seen of them) content to rest upon her, hardly displeased with the view though he remains seemingly indifferent all the same. The man having learned so long ago how to very near shield each emotion within himself. It had been necessary at one point- after all, that necessity having become a habit. He bites contentedly into his toast as the woman offers response to his own words, speaking of pack now as he frowns slightly and his shoulders off a shrug non-committal.

"Pack life is what you choose to make it. You became used to being a loner, you would become used to existing within a pack if you had too- you would find much of it would come instinctively to you all the same. That choice however, is a personal one, you need to find a pack that suits you and an Alpha you deem worthy of following. If you hold no faith in your Alpha there is no use standing behind him or her. You should question what a pack and its leader have to offer you before you commit to it, you must also consider whether you can associate with those members already in it. A pack functions only when each being within it understands their role. Without it, a pack merely gives an illusion of strength."

His words remain unflinchingly calm, as always, spoken with assurance and yet conviction all the same, his own thoughts lingering briefly upon the pack in the West he had held the distinct displeasure of meeting before. Tetradore, strong as he may be in a physical sense, held little to no control of his own members and from what Frost had learned of them through Nadya and his own observation- they were hardly content with one another, prone more to bickering and in fighting and yet a weak leader will result in such fickle tantrums. It is truly not his concern. Though Nadya too- was wasted on such a pack. He is silent for a moment, Scarlett too seeming content to enjoy a few moments to continue with her breakfast before she continues and his lip quirks upward slightly once more.

"I believe we do."

He agrees with her smoothly, pressing the conversation no further though his own simper remains as a soft chuckle hums within his throat, curious perhaps, as to what trait it might be she has found exists within them though he holds some suspicion of it all the same. He had perhaps never considered why it was so he seemed to deal better with women then with men, unable to capture her thoughts upon it, though perhaps he would have held interest all the same in her theory that females were perhaps more tolerating of his often guarded, distant nature. The question she offered seeing his attention return to her now- willing enough to answer her question in those same cool, smooth and yet assured tones.

"It is optional. I have a very large home, my pack is always welcome within it at any time and for any reason. I would be misguided in my duties if I did not offer them that. Claire lives with me permanently, Calliel has been staying with me as well of late, her situation is unique and she needs protection for now though I believe in time she will split her time between my home and her uncles."

He pauses, briefly, seeming to consider for a moment before speaking once more- each word carefully chosen and placed.

"To be part of a pack, Scar, is to do more then merely agree to spend time with those around you. It is a signing of a contract, if you will. As you have never been part of a pack you likely will not understand- upon your agreement to join a pack you become bound to that Alpha. It is a pack bond. This pack bond allows me, always, to be aware of where each of my pack mates are and they of me and yet Alpha's alone are permitted an extra...talent. When we are all shifted together I can access the minds of my pack mates in a one-way line. I can see everything they have done and know everything they have seen that day- yet they do not have the same privilege to see into my actions. It seems a high price to pay, perhaps, yet it....allows me to keep them safe in some ways. A pack offers a Were much in return though, support, protection a home, a family. It depends what you desire in life."

Each word is carefully chosen and yet honest as it is offered, seeking to educate the woman perhaps, offering her knowledge he is assured she does not possess else has never been told. If she desired to join a pack at some point then should she not be aware of both benefits and pitfalls? Perhaps there is a reason he offers her such honest information, after all, there is nothing the cunning creature does without reason- offering her both benefit and yet doubt of packs all at once before falling silent once more, leaving her mind to consider the words. He is interested, now, in the information she offers if only for it's relevance to Calliel and his own lack of knowledge in this area. He had been born to this life after all, just as his father and mother before him, bitten Were's did not exist in his world and though he knew of them and how they were made he knew little of the intricacies of their creation. He frowns, slightly, at the words she offers.

"Six years is....longer then I anticipated."

The words are murmured almost to himself before he returns his attention to the woman before him, thoughts of Calliel saved for later.

"It is unfortunate whoever bit you did not stay to offer instruction- although perhaps depending on the character of that wolf it may have been wholly fortunate."

He muses such things as he stands, gesturing towards the door now despite the look of confusion upon the woman's face as she reaches for her own wallet, his hand moving to stop her all the same as he reaches into the pocket of his own jeans to pull out the few bills he has stored there, tossing them atop the table. He had offered her the breakfast invitation after all and today it seems he has found it within himself to offer something of gentlemanly decorum as he turns for the door, leading the way as instructed. He knows well where he heads, gesturing for the woman to follow before waiting for her to walk beside him, heading down the street and towards the park lands- content in her having managed to end the rain, at least for now. The walk is not to terribly far, Frost content in her company for now until they reach the park gates, shoulder thrown against that wrought iron gates to part them. It is early still, the rain shower having driven on anyone else whom might have been within the park so early, leaving that vastly open space entirely vacant as he strolls smoothly within, much of the land still covered in that early morning mist. He pauses, at last, beside a small collection of trees, waiting for the woman to reach him before gesturing to the space around them with a subtle smile.

"This is far more to my liking then the city. Do you think, Scar, you can make a storm cell of sorts, over this area? It is the wind I seek, more than the rain itself, can you create that? I would like to...try something."

He steps abruptly back from her, one hand moving to undo the top button of his shirt, followed by another as he turns to stride into the collection of trees and obscure the woman's view of him, leaving her to focus on her powers as he allows his own shift to take over. The creature that emerges from the trees is no longer a man, the heavy, powerful war horse striding instead into the open, that cremello pelt of white gold aglow in the faint light, long, thick white mane and tail trailing behind him as that forelock hangs over his eyes still and feathered feet pound against the earth. He is towering in this form. Muscle and grace and power embodied as he near prances back towards her, head flung, sending that long, thick mane askew before he pauses before her. His voice echoing now in her mind, one of the few Were's capable of this speech even within his animal form.

Tell me when you are ready.

It was time to see how much control the girl truly had of her gifts and whether or not she truly held value beyond her pleasant features.
